picking up radio signals on headphones connected to controller

When I plug my audiotechnica m50 headphones into my controllers i pick up a local radio station in the left ear. Has anyone else run into/fixed this problem or have any recommendations?

XBOX One S Controller 3.5mm Jack.

Once the headphones are connected, double-tap the guide button on the controller, and navigate to the bottom for headset settings.

You should find an adjustable headset volume setting. That will be the game volume in your headphones.

Please note that audio will still play from the TV even while headphones are connected to the controller. You can just mute your TV volume while using the headphones.

 

Plugging in Headphones to Controller causes controller to disconnect/die

Hi,

This morning, while playing Titanfall, I connected my Stereo Headphones to my controller, and my controller died. I then turned on my 2nd controller, connected my Stereo Headphones, and it also died. I swapped out the batteries for fresh ones, can the same
thing happened.

Is anyone else having this issue?

 

I have seen this issue occur with what I believe are Astro's, the solution for them is to update the firmware on the headset itself or the mixamp not sure if your headset has that ability.

The headphones have absolutely zero to do with that issue. I have AKG K553 pros and other earbuds. Most of which all pick up a radio signal on left ear ONLY when plugged into an Xbox one controller specifically.

 

Also depending on where I hold up the controller I'll get different distortions too. It is completely the controller picking up that signal. My headphones are not able to get firmware updates but the Xbox controller can
