I do apologize for that misunderstanding, As Smwutches mentioned above, both the Digital and the Physical copy of the game will work the exact same. Does not matter if you have the digital and your family/friends have the physical copy, you will still be
able to play together.

Games work the same way whether they are purchased digitally or physically. So it doesn't matter how the game has been purchased, digital players and physical players can play together.

Thanks for keeping us updated. Do you mean digital and physical versions of the game? If you own the disc version of the game, the only way you can play is with the disc inserted in the console. If you own the Digital version, then you never need a disc
as long as you are logged into your account on the Xbox.
