    Physical to Digital Update


    Has there been an update to the idea of trading physical games for digital? The disc drive on my Xbox one is starting to fail, so I’d love to get something out of all the discs I have which are still in great comdition. Thinking of buying the new disc free
    model.

    There is no program to trade in physical games to digital copies at the moment.

    I really dont see this happening. The main reason would be piracy of games. When you buy a game digitally you either get a code or purchase directly from microsoft so they have the proof of purchase. The thing is if you buy a disc and install the only
    proof of purchase is the disc itself. Maybe in the future they can give a one time digital download with the disks. They do it with blu ray discs so that wouldn't be such a crazy thing.

    Hi!

    Unfortunately it isn't yet possible to convert a physical game into digital, it's two different licenses. You need to purchase a new digital game license.
