    So much for you reversing your DRM policy from 2013. XBL goes down and surprise surprise NONE of my games will load. NOTHING. They are all tied to requiring online at all times. You straight up lied to me and presumably others. Unacceptable. Even the games
    I have the freaking discs for!

    This is so wrong on so many levels.

    I'd go all download - kind of wondering why I bought any physical discs. It would be nice not to have to swap - I could have simply bought 1 physical. Moving forward, its all downloads for me. I never trade games so it makes sense.

    You should take the console offline in the network settings, that will prevent it checking online and you can play as normal.

    Its been so long since I have bought a physical game, digital is way too easy for me.

    Last game I bought physically as GTA5 because it was 50% cheaper to buy a new physical copy than the price at the time.

    That is not currently an available option, but this page (
    support.xbox.com/.../disc-replacement-program     ) has information about a disc replacement program. This page (

    support.xbox.com/.../disc-drive-solution     ) has some initial troubleshooting steps to make sure you diagnose the problem correctly - i.e. make sure it's the disc, not the drive.

    Do you happen to know if a) other discs work in your drive, or b) this disc works in other xboxes?

    There are some methods to repair scratches if that's the problem, although those are not official recommendations from Xbox. A search of the internet will find those.

    Games can be physical still too. Friday the 13th is a game that can still be bought as a physical version even right now.

    They wouldn't get their money back had they bought the physical version either so makes no difference.

    all most gamers want is to know "if" the interent is out i can still play games i bought (that are in my hand physically on the discs) on the console i bought (physically infront of me with the power to play them)
