    Physical games and apps work, digital games do not work


    So I've been having problems with my Xbox for a week now, ever since support had me try to do a new update for Fallout 4 issues. Since then the console wouldn't load or do updates. Today I finally got it to do an update, and then I factory reset it. So the
    console is updated and clean.

    Only now, none of my digital content works. Games won't load, they crash back to the home screen. Apps work fine. Fallout 4 digital takes forever to load, but works. What's going on?

    Support today had the nerve to tell me my console is aged and probably needs repair. The thing is less than two years old.

    The list refers to all versions of the games, digital and physical. So if a game is not on the list, it will not work.

    Why buy digital?

    Can Microsoft end your digital games? Yes. Can they end your physical games? No, they will work forever. Can you sell digital? No. Can you give away digital? No. Will your digital games work if your account gets banned? No. You dont own a thing. You are
    renting a license, and Microsoft is allowing you to rent their game for as long as they allow you to do so.

    Have you already done a full reboot? Go to the settings tab of the guide, then Restart console. That usually clears this issue up for me

    Game sharing only works with digital games. It's not possible to do it with physical disks.
