Dying Light will hit its global digital release of January 27, but you won't be able to get a physical copy in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Australia.

Retail release of Dying Light delayed

The retail release of Dying Light has been delayed outside of North America, although the digital version will still arrive from January 27.

"There will be a short delay in the release of physical copies of Dying Light in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australia," a statement on the game’s official Facebook page advised.

"As physical production has a longer lead time than digital there is some delay in the aforementioned territories. We will share information on the availability of physical copies as soon as it is confirmed."

The zombie survival game from the original developer of Dead Island is coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One, although for retail at least, it seems we do not know when.

Dying Light developer Techland has commented on the wait for physical copies of the game by pointing to its publisher, Warner Bros. Interactive.

"We would like to remind fans and media that Techland is responsible for developing and creating Dying Light," a company spokesperson explained in a statement passed to Eurogamer.

"The publishing and distribution of the game is not handled by us. Once we at Techland know more about how the release of the game will be coordinated, we will immediately inform everyone."

I just want to know for sure if the UK will now definitely get a Jan 27th release.

 

I've got it on digital preorder. Maybe the same situation as Spiderman?

 

I think the UK only get it on 30th January?

From what I've read the digital version still releases everywhere as normal, we it had better, already got mine paid for and downloaded lol

But in the regions mentioned, depending on where you read it seems people are saying anything between a 1-3 week delay for the disc version.

Digital copies cost more than physical copies, plus we cannot trade them in.

I'll leave you guys to your own conclusions.

 

Well, I don't normally trade my games, plus, if I download it my son can also download it.....
