I was blown away from the Gamescom conference from Microsoft. Quantum Break gameplay filled my heart with joy, Rise of the Tomb Raider being an Xbox One exclusive is HUGE for me because I'm a big fan of that series. Halo 5 multiplayer details seem very interesting..
and I just loved the conference so much!! Thoughts?

I found it exciting indeed. So much so that I dragged my 360 out of the closet it had been living in and ordered an Xbox One.

 

Gamescom was absolutely exciting

 

Gamescom was amazing. Xbox is without doubt the place to game. I couldn't believe how much better Forza Horizon 2 looks now compared to what they showed at E3.

Quantum Break blew me away, and Tomb Raider being exclusive! WOW!!! Never expected that. One of my all time favourite game series. And with being exclusive it will look so much better than if it was multiplatform.

And on top of all that GOAT SIMULATOR!!!!

 

I have to disagree. All the stuff they showed we already new about. There was no new announcements and even the Indies that were shown I think have been shown before. The biggest thing was the Tomb Raider deal but I think this deal is a waste by microsoft
because it is not a system seller. Surely they would have been best of investing the money spent on tomb raider in a new ip. Quantum Break looked great though.

 

Quantum Break did look great. And I look forward to that game as well. Day One purchase for me.

 

Is it just me, or is there a lot of 0GS silver members showing up since Tomb Raider was announced as an Xbox Exclusive? Starting to turn into comparison threads, and picking fights.

 

^I believe Tomb Raider is a system seller my friend (especially the new one) and I think you know it.

If you see Empress' post, she has ordered an Xbox One due to the conference....

 

MS mainly showcased games that were coming out this year and leading to the next. Mostly games we all saw at E3 but really driving the point home how great they were. Showing Tomb Raider, I thought was kinda odd because the release date is assumingly holidays
of next year and MS normally doesn't jump the gun too far ahead of time in fear of overshadowing current forthcoming releases.

It's been an awesome E3 and Gamescom with the sole focus of games, but I wish they could of commented on the upcoming updates for the X1 as well, like DLNA support, snap center, and possibly any more apps coming out like Plex.

 

^they didn't mention the Plex app, because they aren't making it. In fact, neither is Plex. It is being made by a third party developer thru ID@XBOX program. And Microsoft did reveal a bunch of info about the new media app that will allow dlna/streaming
from usb/lan drives. Including a sizeable list of supported formats.

 

@Telegonic, Lot's of Xbox fans loved the TR series. Just because the Xbox consoles didn't sell as many copies as PlayStation, doesn't mean that Xbox fans aren't interested in it. And believe me when I say, there are PLENTY of hardcore TR fans who have an
Xbox. Tomb Raider is in fact a system seller. Not only is it one of the highest quality AAA games out there, exclusivity to the XB1 will most likely open the eyes of the majority of the hardcore TR fans on PlayStation who have yet to purchase a next-gen console.
This will help out the XB1 sales quite a bit. And also, you seem like a hardcore PlayStation fan yourself. Why are you even here?..

 

I look forward to Tomb Raider. I own 2 copies, 1 being the Collectors, and 1 being the Definitive Edition. And I will own, the Collector's Edition of "Rise of the Tomb Raider" on Xbox One. Of course. Pull your Ratio's all you want. Fact remains, it
is on Xbox One, I will own it. I will enjoy it, as many of the 1 portion of your ratio.

 

Until they give details on the share feature it isn't worth hyping up.

I thought the far cry 4 share feature would be cool, got the details today and see how garbage it is now.

Can't say that TR will be amazing, but it is a sequel of my favorite TR game, so it should be fun.
