2.
Games should of been the top priority to begin with.
Games have always been the top priority - they never weren't. If you believe they weren't than all that's happened is that you've fallen for the competition's marketing hyperbole.

Really? Last time I checked it is an All in One Entertainment device. The first time it was announced all the other stuff was introduced first before the game stuff. All I am trying to say is now that this new guy is in charge Gaming will completely be a
top priority as it originally should of been as it was not marketed as such.

lastly I have not fallen for the competitors marketing hyperbole. All I have to say to that is one should not make assumptions.

All in all now that Mr Spencer is at the Helm we will see a huge positive change for the future of the Xbox brand.

^All those games at E3 must have been a myth.

5. The console was unveiled as an all in one gizmo for that very purpose. Why spoil the games you were going to unveil at E3 only a month later? It was a system reveal, so games were never going to be the priority. The system was.

Everybody is so happy this guy is now in charge but why? When anybody states a reason as to what they hope he does different you act as though everything was fine.

Which one is it because if it was fine why would this matter.

Face facts it was not fine and hopefully he can re focus the brand and sell 2.5 million gaming consoles to close the gap because the all in one box is not going to do it.

I'm not having a go in any way shape or form but I believe you more than anyone else keep mentioning "Microsoft closing the gap, or needing to" I just find it a little strange you ( that doesn't seem to like Xbox One and I appreciate that's your opinion
) seem more concerned about this than people like me that actually love what the Xbox One is offering me.

Do Microsoft need to worry about closing the gap at this early stage? Lets forget Xbox One main rival, in the same space of time Xbox One sold more than when the Xbox 360 released, not bad when you consider all the "drama" before launch, DRM, no DRM etc

Now lets talk about it's main rival, I believe it was always going to struggle with the price difference alone. I always remember though around the time of the PS3 releasing, delays, hefty price, took a while but Sony got there in the end. I think after
just 4 months of these consoles being on the market it's way too early to crown any the winner or start putting up the tomb stones up for the other just yet.

I think Microsoft/Xbox One will do fine, it's already showing good signs of picking up speed, recent price drop, Titanfall. I still remember a lot of this forum ( and elsewhere ) predicting Xbox One would be outsold 3-1, 4-1, some sites even said 5-1, it's
nowhere near that big a gap and also got to take into account that Xbox One has yet to release in other countries/regions.

As for Mr Spencer. I personally like him because to me from what I've seen him write, whether it be on Twitter, various sites, he seems to love his games, I always see him tweeting about games, what he likes, what he doesn't, what games he's looking forward
to etc etc and in my opinion he definitely is the right person for the job.

10. The reason I think a lot of people on here are happy about Phil's promotion is because he wants the Xbox One to be a gaming console first. Now it could have been a different story if they put someone else in-charge of the Xbox
brand. Someone who does not have a background in gaming. I am however more than happy for the Xbox One to be an all in one entertainment system.

11. Yeah. I think most people are pleased because hes such a down to earth guy. Anyone that follows him in media can back that up. He's honest and doesn't dance around the facts. Things are good now, they are not perfect but they are very good. With this guy
at the helm, I can only see things getting better. I plan to look back on this thread in a years time and quote this post Phil Spencer: Talking about his role as the new head of Xbox :p

@IceStorm good points but I feel as though you are wasting valuable time trying to tell people like bstn these sorts of things. Besides he is only here to discuss negative aspects of xbox one.
