Phil Spencer: Talking about his role as the new head of Xbox

Yes, I think the focus will be on gaming and not gimmicks (e.g. Kinect). Lesson learned this past year for MS. I'm feeling optimistic.

Sin, that was him in the middle of your video. But, if you watch the ACTUAL reveal, the only time he mentioned the words tv or television was when he was referring to the monitor most people hook their Xbox Ones to.

 

I thought he came across and presented himself very well. I do like him and think he will do great job. Major Nelson when he gives interviews I think he seems kind of awkward or something.

 

I think Phil is a great choice for heading Xbox. He seems to be a gamer and really seems genuine. Ive had a couple of twitter convos and comes off as being passionate about the brand.

which helps mitigate button creep.

There
are several reasons why the PS4 may have sold more units than the Xbox One. More markets is a big one. Price is another.

 

@IceStorm good points but I feel as though you are wasting valuable time trying to tell people like bstn these sorts of things. Besides he is only here to discuss negative aspects of xbox one.

 

Always like Phil and i feel some good times coming for Xbox.

 

@bstn is that why I have read reports of shortages of the pseye,toy,camera or whatever you want to call it. Sony didn't anticipate the demand for it! Take your negativity somewhere else.

 

I like Him, he sounds like the right man for the job Lets turn some heads at E3 shall we Phil?

 

Actually Bstn, the competition is considerably cheaper, less so now.

That's your opinion but I have to disagree, well disagree as of today, who know's what the future holds but as of now ( again just my opinion ) the "main" reason why the competition has sold more was the price difference and Xbox One has not been released
in as many countries/regions.

Obviously it's all down to my own preference in games but with the likes of Drive Club ( a game I really want ) having a couple of delays, with "rumour" of it's gone back to the drawing board, talk that games like The Order, Uncharted might not even see
the light of day in 2014 ( yes all companies/games can get delays ) but once again, the "competition" definitely "isn't" putting the gamers first.

 

Sony putting games first? That is just marketing talk. If PS4 is a games console built by gamers then whats up with PS TV? Whats up with releasing with less first party exclusives than MS? Delusions are grand if you think that Sony or MS care about gamers.

 

Which console puts gamers first is a matter of opinion. Yes Sony's focus at the moment is on games and while they do have more titles than the Xbox One, the games I want are on the Xbox One. So, for me Microsoft is doing a better
job at putting gamers first.

 

Good man! He's right for the role and I am thrilled for him.
