Great interview with Phil Spencer and the future of Xbox

That's not an interview; it's a discussion. Interviews have someone asking someone else questions; this guy was not asking Phil Spencer specific or direct questions - he actually did more talking than Phil did, and was even trying to put ideas into his head!
That in itself made the article a bit disappointing for me. He was lucky to get as much info out of Phil as he did...

 

Is Microsoft's stance XBOX One X Virtual Reality (VR)

Xbox Head Phil Spencer gave this interview, specifically about VR:

It is an interesting read, basically, the Xbox One X is capable, but they do not see the current state of VR/MR being in line with what they want for the "Family Room" type of arena that the Xbox plays in.

I said when it was announced that I was personally really pleased by this. I believe he will do a great job.

 

I really like his focus and what he wants to do. I hope it turns into reality!

 

I feel pretty confident that Phil is the man for the job. Can't wait to see what magic he has up his sleeve for E3.

 

He mentioned the forums!

 

Honestly he seems like a good guy. He keep mentioning the focus on gamers and games something that should habe been the focus of the launch.

But when the whole UI and vibe of the console revolve around the Kinect a non gaming device its just lip service. Make the Kinect optional.

If you think it's my opinion your wrong the competition has sold a lot more units by doing just that putting the games first.

Wasnt Phil Spencer one of those 'TV,TV, Sports, TV....' people at the last E3. Could be wrong about that, ill have to check youtube. If he was Im not holding my breath for any goodness.

Xbox one presentation started with Ryse and finished with Titanfall,between it was all about Xbox 360/one games....

 

Sin, before the promotion, Phil Spencer was head of Microsoft Game Studios. His focus was only on 1st party games. So yes, you are wrong.

 

Ya - you may be right. Maybe it wasnt e3, i was thinking about (so thanks for the correction), but this:



If his only focus was 1st party games, i guess he wasnt part of this video then, but that does look like him about halfway thru.

 

Major Nelson always frustrates me. For some reason he just has a face that I want to slap! He reminds me of an old ken doll!

 

I'm even more hyped for E3 this year now that I know the focus is going to be on games.
