@Wanorios About Phil Spencer tweeting games will be running sub 1080p/60fps, where is this tweet? Not saying he didn't tweet it, just that I cant find a tweet saying something like that.

 

Well, that was newsworthy ... NOT! It's not like he's telling us anything we didn't already know - eg, "new experiences with different IP" sounds *very* familiar to his next tweet about Sea of Thieves! Oh well, who needs Major Nelson when Goth Vampirella
is keeping us in the loop? Well done you.

 

No exclusives other than a few indies interest me this year, but there are lots of multiplats I'm looking forward to. It'll be an interesting year though with the Switch and Scorpio coming out.

 

I fancy dipping my toes into some new IP's. I'm really looking forward to Sea of Thieves.

 

Only Xbox game due to come out this year, so far that has me interested is Halo Wars 2. Hopefully EA will release Pets for The Sims 4 this year too. They released toddlers this month which many are happy about. Also might get Bus Simulator 2017. I watched
some popular Youtubers do the 2016 version and they did funny commentary which cracked me up. I hope this year is good too. It started off well since it's the summer holidays for us New Zealand and Australian peeps. Started it off with a bang being at Sydney
New Years Fireworks. Best fireworks and new years event in the southern hemisphere. And yes BluSwirl, Sydney has double decker trains with usually 8 carriages per service. Couldn't believe you're Australian and didn't know that(?) Also went to Rainbows End
4 times enjoyed the stratosphere ride. So yea, it was a fun start to 2017. We get out summer (December - February) at a good time of the year. It's kind of awkward having summer in the middle of the year. Go hard, and at the end and start of each year, you
can unwind and have a lot of fun. But doesn't mean we can have fun during the year. A youtuber showed code that EA may be releasing Pets for The Sims 4 in maybe their next big update. As for Scorpio, I won't rush out and get it. I'll just wait until reviews
come out. I already have a high end PC, and Xbox does have Xbox Play Anywhere so can play my Xbox games on my high end rig. I think Microsoft will likely overcharge for Scorpio for their NZ market. I estimate they'll set an RRP of NZ$899 or something like
it. EBgames Australia and NZ have set an estimate price of $999 for it.

A new IP? Maybe this will improve connectivity for NZ members? We are a common wealth English country. Yet we get wacky ping sizes even in the big cities even though they rolled out 2 data centres in Australia which is only 2 hours behind NZ time.

 

we might see some more "fun" news.

Haha, smileskybird, did you just say TODDLERS? That's a thing now? I mean, in the Sims multiverse? Even though I spit (forcefully) upon the PC crowd, I do still keep track of developments in that realm (the realm of geekery etc), but can't say I've heard
tell of INFANTS running loose without their minders haha. Regarding the transit system in Oz, I reside in the northern part of Australia (Queensland), and as you may or may not know, we don't even wind our clocks back (or forward) during summer! This is some
Dark Ages shizzle for sure, and don't even ask about our train services! HUNDREDS are canceled on a whim because of driver shortages - but I digress.

Smileskybird, we're not talking about Internet Protocol here. "IP" stands for Intellectual Property, or new franchises that can be milked for future profits! New IPs are the stuff of naval gazing and proselytizing in the coming *CONSOLE WARS*. Scorpio may
be touted as the world's "most powerful console", but if you still feel there's not enough power for you - perched above us on your PC master throne - just be thankful Microsoft hasn't pulled a 'Switcheroo' on our watch. 720p is so last-LAST-GEN!
