Petition for MS to release a first party wireless mic for Xbox One

It will come.. also at beginning of 360 there was just the cable Headset...

The Warhead does not use a cable. The Warhead's base station pairs with the 360 console, same as Microsoft's first party wireless chat mics do. It is the
only third party headset that does this. Microsoft is not working on an Xbox One to 360 wireless protocol converter.

Seems silly not to buy the console of choice in favour of your headset when an adapter will be available?

The
Warhead is unique in its fully wireless operation. There will be no adapter for it.



If you throw away $300 on a headset designed to work with a single product (Warhead's mic doesn't work with PC or PS3), then you shouldn't have a problem buying another one that's Xbox One-specific.

yeah, ms can make a holographic headset, but we still don't have wireless mics or even voice messaging on xbox one and it's 2015.... wtf, ms?

No word or indication from Microsoft on an official wireless headset as of yet but I wouldn't be surprised that something get announced in Fall. I can remember the first wireless headset that came out for the Xbox 360 in 2006 a year after the console release.

There are a few wireless headsets out there for the Xbox One made by third parties like Turtlebeach.

I just tested a few times as well. Without the wireless MS mic connected, it boots smoothly. When the mic is connected, the screen freezes twice for a short time. Tested on two seperate slim xboxes with the same MS mic.
