    Person with multiple accounts/profiles threatened and claims to work for xbox


    Just played someone and sent a message that said reported cause all they were doing was glitching......They wrote back said I was threatening them and they worked with xbox and the enforcement team and I would be banned for threats ........They then somehow
    posted my personal information in the messages and I dont know whats going on or how thats happening but I did nothing wrong when someone glitches its supposed to be reported as unsporting or cheating and Im getting all this ........

    Please change my gamertag

    As suggested above:

    You do not need to change your gamertag.

    Block communication with this person, and report them for the harassment.

    One doesn't simply get a free gamertag change because THEY SAY they are being threatened, then everyone would claim this.

    A person ddoses me almost every day and now he threatened to hack my account and he threatened my life.

    Change GT for security reasons

    A gamertag change won't help. That person could have already added you to their friend list (possibly to a separate account with ONLY your account on it), and he would immediately know your new Gamertag.

    If you are being harassed by that person, report him with the console's reporting feature. Specifically report the threatening messages where they threaten to "find where you live" and where they provide your personal information.

    Then block that person from contacting you with the block feature on that person's Profile page.

    Should they use multiple accounts to get around that block, consider setting your online and privacy settings to "Friends only" on
    https://account.xbox.com/settings so only people you have on your own friend list are able to contact you.

    If you're threatened by someone, go to their gamer profile and file a complaint on them. Threatening someone with hacking is against the rules and the person will be punished. Also, you might want to block communications with this person as well.

    was this person claiming to be xbox staff and was going to ban you or was he a normal user thats fed up with people using mods on that game and threatened to report you in the hope you get banned?

    Most people who claim they hack accounts, can't. That's why it's always funny to invite people to try when they threaten to after losing.
