    There is a guy on Halo Reach who is hitting me and my friends offline. He has multiple account which may be why he isn't banned yet. My friends and I have reported him on at least two of his accounts, but with no result. I've contacted MSFT support, who
    were no help whatsoever. Someone even filed a police report and sued the guys parents. They ended up settling for like $800.

    He is currently using the account [Mod removed]. A while back, it was an
    [Mod removed]. And before that, it was [Mod removed]. But I don't believe he was hitting people offline on [Mod removed]. At least 5 people have reported him on an [Mod removed], and
    [Mod removed]
    .

    Below are screenshots of him bragging about it on facebook. His name is [Mod removed].

    [Mod removed]

    I hope this brings more attention to the issue, and MSFT actually does something about it. He needs to be console banned because even if his profile is banned he'll just make a new one.

    [Mod edit: Please do not name & shame on the forums]

    Its up to your ISP to investigate it,not microsoft.

    Its your internet connection being attacked not your xbox.

  6. @THEWOENKILLER pretty sure he broke some rule here: 1.9 Are there things I can’t do on the Services? You must not use the Services to harm others or the Services. For example, you must not:

    • Use the Services to harm, threaten, or harass another person, organization, or Microsoft;

    • Damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Services (or any network or Authorized Device connected to the Services);

    • Assign, resell, or redistribute any part of the Services or access to the Services, including the sale or purchase of an account;

    • Share your account password or otherwise authorized a third party to access or use the Services on your behalf unless we provide an approved mechanism;

    • Enable unauthorized third party applications to access the Services;

    • Use the Services or any content on the Services for commercial purposes;

    • Use or attempt to use any unauthorized means to modify, reroute, or gain access to the Services;

    • Use any automated process or service (such as a bot, a spider, periodic caching of information stored by Microsoft, or metasearching) to access or use the Services, or to copy or scrape data from the Services;

    • Obtain (or try to obtain) any data from the Services or related hardware, except the data that we intend to make available to you; or

    • Use the Services or related hardware to design, develop, or update unauthorized software;

    • Fraudulently increase the play count or otherwise manipulate the Services in any way, including using a script and/or otherwise automated process;

    • Use unauthorized software or hardware to access the Services or modify an Authorized Device in any unauthorized way (e.g., through unauthorized repairs, unauthorized upgrades, or unauthorized downloads). You agree that we have the right to send data, applications
    or other content to any software or hardware that you are using to access the Services for the purpose of detecting an unauthorized modification and/or disabling the modified device; or

    hardware associated with the Services or with an Authorized Device. If you do, we may cancel your account and your ability to access the Services, and pursue other legal remedies. We may take any legal action we deem appropriate against users who violate our

  7. Yes he is definitely breaking rules but he is also breaking the law too,which is why you report them.

    But when microsoft investigate their account there will be no proof that he did anything,unless he has sent messages admitting his guilt.

    DDOS attacks need to be reported to your ISP and let them take action.

    Hi Friend, i work with the Xbox Ambassador Program. Microsoft goes through great lengths to prevent this type of issue. I would advice you to contact Microsoft if you are having these types of problems, you can try blocking, or reporting the player. If you
    have any further issues, I would advice you to direct yourself to the support page, i hope I've helped you with your problem.

  9. Microsoft actually do very little to prevent this issue as they simply can`t, its the internet connection being attacked,its out of their control.

    Contacting support will get you nowhere as they will just advise you to report on your console.

    As the OP says, he has already reported them several times.

    The same advice will just be repeated in the forum section.

    I can see you're attempting to help, which is admirable, but you're giving Ambassadors a far larger role than what it really is. Ambassadors are only gamers on this service, nothing more. We are not privy to the inner working
    of Xbox, and the decisions that are made there. Ambassadors have no way of knowing what lengths Xbox goes to combat this, other than the anecdotal evidence seen of people who post in the Suspension forums (which is something you don't need to be an Ambassador
    to know about).

    What you're suggesting in this thread are someone redundant, as well, because you're suggesting things that the OP has already done. It is also inaccurate, to an extent. While the "blocking, or reporting the player"
    part was correct, although you neglected to mention this needs to be done from the console. Your suggestion to contact Xbox (which the OP did) is not correct. Xbox Support, be it over the phone, email, chat, Twitter, or the forums never process complaints
    about other users, nor do they issue suspensions or bans, so contacting them would be fruitless. All complaints about other players must be done from the player feedback section of the Xbox console.

    You've shown a friendly and cordial attitude here, which is a great quality for an Ambassador to have, and I hope you keep it up in the future, but just make sure the information you give is correct.

    @Bashful Brute.

    As others have already said, this is an ISP issue, not an Xbox issue. This isn't to say that Microsoft doesn't have a duty of care here, because it does, and you listed them in the post quoting the Terms of Use, above.

    Their role is to take action against an extraneous users based on evidence, not based on accusations. When you file a complaint on a user, that brings that user to their attention. They will then gather evidence to either support,
    or refute your report. If they have gathered evidence that shows the report was accurate, they will take action against that person. However, they will not do that, until they have the evidence, which may take an amount of time. Given that the person you're
    talking seems to be using more than one account, evidence needs to be gathered on all of the account, which may take even longer,

    But I do have evidence in the links I posted. If the Security Team saw those, that should be enough.

    That's just the thing. The enforcement team never visit these forums, outside of their own account suspension forums. So they are never going to see your thread.

    Even if they did come here, the forum moderators (who are NOT Xbox staff, and have no connection to the enforcement team) would have removed any of that information from your post before they got here.

    I'll go even further. If someone in the enforcement team did read your post before it was edited by the moderators, they are not going to use a screenshot as evidence. The reason for that is screenshots and videos can easily
    be altered to whatever you want. I'm not suggesting that is what you did, but there are people who would do that.

    Instead, the evidence they would be looking at would be their activity over Xbox Live. This would include looking at the messages they sent and received. Monitoring their in-game activity and behaviour. Checking what other
    accounts are being signed into on that same console, and monitoring them.
