Permanent suspension for LITERALLY nothing

I received a permanent suspension for Harassment and Abuse for failure to correct my past behavior. In 2014, I used profanity and vulgar language in my messages. Ever since my first suspension I completely cut out the use of vulgar language and profanity
entirely. How is that a failure to correct my past behavior? I seriously don't know what I did or said

Here are the ONLY types of messages I would send to people who annoyed me/trolled me/instigated a response by me:

1. "Trash"

2. "You're not good"

3. "Idiot"

Can someone tell me what was so bad? Is it really harassment and abuse by sending 1 message to person NOT using vulgar language and profanity? If I'm going to get banned for calling people "Trash" I might as well just call them "F*g**ts" since it's practically
the same in their eyes.

Same here too i got a suspension for nothing, LITERALLY NOTHING!!!

 

Clarification on ban

All suspensions list information for what happens during a temporary suspension and during a permanent suspension. Since the suspension lists and end date, that means it's temporary. If it was permanent, the end date would be 12/31/9999

Here's a crazy idea, but how about not sending any message? Calling someone an idiot isn't really offensive, but you have to remember that our society today has no backbone and are thin skinned. Everything offends everyone.

 

Society may be thin skinned and all to often finds offence even where their is none. Yet for MS to play the role of political correction police is a role which should not even exist. Yet if they can find a way to ban you, then it stands to reasion that you'll
create another accound, (free) then rebuy another console/games/dlc/etc. Which = more $$$$$ for Micro to Macro- Soft... Emm... depending on the B.r.a.k.e.s. ♻

 

I think you need to re-think about what the meaning of harrassing, vulgar and offensive means. Even though "trash" doesn't have the sexual undertone of calling someone "a bunch of twigs", it's
still meant to put someone down.

Calling people "trash", referring to them as an "idiot", or simply telling them they're "not good" is derogatory and therefore a violation of the Code of Conduct.

If you REALLY feel the need to "smack talk" in CoD, as you call it in your previous thread, consider to NOT belittle the other player by using negative words (which will get you banned). Instead make yourself seem better in the messages.

For example, instead of telling someone he's trash, say "Man, I really owned you in that match!"

Or instead of telling someone "You're not good", say "Haha! I'm so good! You haven't had a chance against me! I'm so awesome!"

And instead of insulting someone by calling him an "Idiot!" say "I dare you to challenge me again. Do you have the guts?"

Then there is really LITERALLY nothing wrong with these texts.

But telling someone he's an idiot and trash will get you suspended, as you experienced for yourself.

check the Code of Conduct here, where it says:

"Don’t harm or harass. For example, don't:

[...]

- Scream at, intimidate, or bully others

[...]"

So no matter if you call someone "idiot" or "trash" or "slowpoke" or "ham doctor", your intent is to "intimidate", which is against the Code of Conduct.

 

How about this F3DZ, don't send messages to people, that way you wont get banned.

Try going up to some complete strangers in the street & call them idiots or trash & see how long you last.

And if Microsoft want to be the "political correction police" then they can,it's their service & they make the rules.

You need to learn manners. dont call them names and dont use bad words even if you bleep some of the letters out with *s that is also against the TOC Xbox rules too. Learn self control just because they say mean stuff doesnt mean you do the same back otherwise
youre just as bad as them.

 

"LITERALLY nothing". Do you go around in public telling strangers they're "Trash", "...not good", or calling them a "idiot"? If so, I can imagine you spend a lot of time in the hospital or court. ;-)

I get very few messages from strangers; though when I do get a "You're TRASH!", it's just a simple block and move on from me. Oddly enough, it's never when I'm doing bad...it's when I destroyed them in a game (Which is very rare. Lol.).
