    Permanent fix for Green Screen of Death?


    I have had the Green Screen of Death 3 times on my Xbox one and am getting tired of having to go through all the steps every time. Is there a permanent fix for the Green Screen of Death?

    Green Screen of DEATH fix!

    Hey! Anybody who was green screen-ing! Just do this! 1) cry...A LOT 2) go earn some karma and good luck, you'll need it 3) disconnect the wall plug from your power brick, but leave the Xbox end plugged in 4) press and hold the power button on the XB1 5)
    reconnect the wall plug 6) turn on the Xbox WITH THE INCLUDED CONTROLLER 7) if you did enough preparation in step 2 your Xbox One is now operational!!! Congrats! (Note 1) ---> I'm NOT a Microsoft tech support employee, just a very lucky sailor!!!

    Yeh it's not a green screen of death at all its simply installing and updating in the background. The first post is crazy wrong.

    The only green screen I've heard about is during the installation process & in regards to that, it's been advised that you DO NOT unplug or reset or turn off anything. If you're referring to that, your advice may actually do more harm than good. If you're
    not & are referring to something else, then someone who reads this may think that that's the green screen you're referring to & can STILL do more harm than good. Nothing against you personally, but please don't give advice on something that MIGHT have a slim
    chance of working that could also potentially do more harm than good. My advice to anyone who has the above issue - contact Xbox support
    here.
