    I been trying to get this issue resolved as nothing has worked for me. After updating my Xbox One X to the most recent dashboard update (Alpha skip ahead) I decided to watch my friend on twitch stream a game called Factorio and roughly 2 hours into his stream my Xbox goes into a black screen and my TV starts telling me that the resolution on my device isn't supported and needs to be changed. So I then proceeded to do the following with no success...Hard restart, Low res mode, power cycle, unplugging everything, changing HDMI cable and ports. I did further trouble-shooting on my TV to identify the core issue and all my other device's work flawlessly so I know something is wrong with just the xbox.

    xbox insider program how dose one get an invite to alpha ring status

    as StuartATrueRed states, it is all down to accurate reports. The more you file bug reports, the greater the chance that when they need to top up the Alpha rings, you will get an invite.

    if you do get an invite to Alpha or Alpha Skip Ahead, be prepared for lots of bugs and issues.

    Hi Natpars,

    so how the program works is that by joining a higher up ring you get access to updates before the lower down rings and due to skip ahead being a new ring it is a limited number ring like all alpha but you will have to rejoin beta ring if you do leave alpha
    skip ahead ring. you do not drop to your previous ring.

    I assume you are referring the the Xbox Insider Preview program. Alpha and Alpha Skip Ahead are both invite only, by the development team. These two rings get frequent updates and sometimes the most unstable builds. So if you are not happy dealing with
    bugs and reporting them, then no it isn't worth it.

    The new update is only out for some Alpha & Alpha skip ahead insiders at the moment.

    If you're in the Omega ring then you'll probably be the last ring to get the update before it's released to everyone.
