Permanent ban from messages

So this very unintelligent person on gta 5 started killing me and my friend and so we fought back and made him rage quit then he spammed me calling me trash so I used a non family friendly word and they reported me because they were that salty that I destroyed
the living [mod removed] out of them.So all I ask is an unban from communications.Thank you!

You don't get a message stating you are banned. You are just banned.

Modding is only one of the ways to get permanently banned from online play.

First of all, thank you for your replies.

I have received a reply from the PET, and it was the standard harassment ban message.

I just have a hard time figuring out how responding sarcastically to abusive messages can ever lead to a permanent ban. Do they not read messages from both parties in such a case?

The guy who made the DDOS attacks would repeatedly keep doing it the following days, so I had to make my account permanently appear offline. The worst part of it all was that I was unable to report him, since he did not appear on my list of last opponents
(I have noticed this several times since FIFA14 came out; never seen it before).

In addition the FIFA community seems to have gone from bad to absolute madness. I receive hate messages, death threats, cancer messages, and mom jokes after more than half my games.

I just find it absurd how they hand out a permanent ban for defending myself sarcastically. From my experience with Xbox Live and the amount of abuse there, I cannot imagine how they would ever enforce a zero-tolerance policy in the online interaction.

Reading the Code of Conduct and TOU, I cannot see any justification of how my offense could be worthy of a permanent ban. They mention that misuse of the communicational tools may lead to a communication ban, and that repeated offenses of this kind might
lead to a permanent ban - but as said before I have never received a ban before.

For communications try removing the account from the console, do a hard reset, and re-add the account to the console.

As for Pro Clubs that might be a game specific ban. You might need to check with EA on that one.

thanks for the quick reply I tried that to no avail I still can't send messages or play clubs. Il try get in contact with ea over clubs. Could it be that I'm permanently banned from messaging? It didn't say anything about a permanent ban but because there
is no active suspension I find it strange

Then you are banned from online play. If you want to appeal, message Joe Graf on Twitter @EpicCog and give him your gamertag. Bans are permanent and they are console wide, so you cannot just make a new GT.
