Perm Banned

It appears ACTIVISION permanently banned a bunch of people today from playing GHOSTS including myself. There was no warning nor did they give a reason for the ban. I have no idea why i was banned. The only thing I ever did was play the game too much. I am
51 yrs old and do not need to cheat or harass. I only play SQUAD vs SQUAD and don't have a headphone,. There are a lot of people ticked including myself. How can a company stop you from playing a game without any warning or reason? This really irritates me
and I am about to not renew my XBOX live account. has anyone else been permanently banned???

once a console is banned it is perm banned sorry

 

What happens to your games if you get banned on an XB One

that is the same as it is now, if you manage to break the rules so badly its a lifetime account ban you loose everything jn that account.

for a modified console its the console that is banned, I think you have to involved in active game code hacking or account phishing or other be involved in nasty completely ruin live for others areas to get a perm ban for your actual gamer account, hey are never clear on why accounts are banned tho

 

Hi so I got banned the other day from call of duty ghosts and only cod ghost and I have tried to find out why and I can't at all can u please unbanned me or tell me why I got banned like please I didn't do anything wrong and if I did I really didn't know

My son was banned as well - no warning or reason given. How can we find out what happened? is there any way to contact Xbox Live directly? This is ridiculous.

 

modded controller, rage quitting, stayed to long in a modded lobby, people reporting you 20 times a days for being a tool, rude or crude emblems, language < always the young kids who get off on being foul for no reason.

Gotta of done something really toolish, or related to modding/boosting and your one of the few unlucky ones to get caught, while other do the same things all day every day and never have trouble.

rare instance you p!ssed off a hacker, who then spoofed your account and did things to get you banned on purpose.

 

FYI XBOX does not controlled game bans, the game company does. XBOX Live will say to bad, so sad.

 

Correct, this is something you will have to address with Activision and IW. Xbox cannot assist in game specific bans like this.

Just fyi .... thats not the place to go either. Its a community run forum also and has been overrun by posts about people being banned. Most of the threads wind up with a link just saying saying not to post that topic there.

To my knowledge .... there is no place, other than maybe twitter.

 

If gamers would play the game like it should be you would not get banned from Ghost.... Just Saying

 

Agreed ...... I think they need banned. However , I'd be willing to bet there are few who are guilty of nothing but stupidity.

I got into a modded lobby once but knew enough to recognize something was wrong. I dashboarded and it didnt effect me.

I imagine there are plenty of people who wouldnt know it was, or what to do if something did happen. I think the devs could do a lot more as far as communication. As many reports of modded lobbies as there have been, why not maybe put some info in place
of the other intel we get at logon, or at the bottom of the screen waiting for a match to start.

The games developers "investigate" before they ban, so theres a big chance you have done something wrong. They have made mistakes before, but not very often. Get a new GT and "LEARN YOUR LESSON" and game on?

 

Whilst I agree with most of the comments above, I cannot excuse IW for their lack of action and shoddy response times to the hacking/modding infestation of Ghosts. took them months to patch anything and yet, from what I understand, didnt really resolve the
problem fully.

To say they rarely make mistakes would be correct in previous releases but they made one massive one with ghosts and that was releasing it without taking sufficient security measures to prevent the issues so often reported.

I entirely agree that gamers are 99.9% of the time to blame - yet with Ghosts, it was entirely possible to be matched into a modded lobby by the game, without any intention of cheating, hacking, modding, boosting or whatever and not immediately be aware
that you are in a hacked lobby.

Sure, for those of us that experienced gamers, we might spot it straight away and know that dash boarding would prevent being penalised but not all gamers are as dedicated, experienced or knowledgeable...

IW/Activision should have made sufficient effort to warn genuine gamers of the issues and how to avoid being banned.

 

there was supposedly an error with their system and alot of people were wrongfully banned.should be getting fixed if it isnt already.
