Performance & Efficiency

I just watched a video on YouTube about what is coming to Xbox in the next firmware update. I got to say I am not happy. Instead of adding unnecessary apps, how about they focus on the performance & Efficiency of the Xbox.

What I mean by performance is updating that messy dashboard. Find a way to minimize menus to scroll through. One idea is get rid of the store tab and just have the option in the Xbox home button menu. That alone will speed up loading screen time.

When it comes down to Efficiency, Microsoft is not there. One big issue that I have with Xbox is all the menus that are completely unnecessary. Example. When a friend sends me a clip to watch I have to open how many menus?! I have to open around FOUR menus
just to watch a 30 second clip. That is ridiculous if you ask me.

This what I think needs to change on Xbox. I would love to here from anyone on this topic and see if these changes would or wouldn't change you Xbox experience.

To build on what Sat said, it's like the food Eco boost engines. V-8 performance with v-6 fuel efficiency. And the esram in the x1 is like a turbocharger to funnel more power. It just has to be tuned properly and that takes time.

I hear ya, US, and as I said before, I actually believe the Nexboxes will in fact house a highly customized architecture to unify two GPU's in the same family range for maximum efficiency and performance without the added costs of a higher-end GPU's.
