Perfect Circle Scratch

So I hopped on my xbox planning to play some overwatch with my buddies but when I tried to start it, it popped up with "Something went wrong, An error occurred during the system update. For detailed instructions, select help." So I pressed help and it asked
for an error code so I look back at it but there is no error code. Then after searching the Internet with nothing coming up I looked at the disc. And there it was, a scratch in the shape of a perfect circle. I go to the Internet again and only find stuff about
the 360. If anyone has any info I would appreciate it.

In addition, do not move the console when it is on and a disc is in the drive, as this will scratch your discs. If after all the above it's still scratching discs, there is likely an issue with the console and you should call Xbox Support at 1-800-4MY-XBOX.

was it a system update or an overwatch update? if it was a system update the disc has nothing to do with it; if it was a game update the disc might be damaged and you may need to replace it.

I believe it was an overwatch update but then why would the xbox scratch up the disc.

The issue in particular has happened to me on many occasions and my issue was that the xBox laser was dirty so the laser "burnt" the game. The game itself is Kapoot, but in the future every two to three months you may want to use "canned air" and blow out
the laser area where the disc goes. Installing your game directly on the HDD is the best option to help reduce the risk of this happening again.

ask a friend for the game or rent it then install to your xbox 360 then put the game with the scratch and it works

I even have the wkey infact i have 2 keys i payed for 1 accidently beacausei never saw the one in my box thats to prove its my game my single player works its the multiplayer

How to prevent this: Not having your console on an upright position as it will de-align the disk reader with time. Also, installing games to your HDD should help preserve both disks and disks readers. Other than that, all that can be suggested is to call
Xbox Support (1-800-4my-xbox) to get further assistance or get the Disk Reader repaired if need be.

How to fix scratched disks: Buy a Disk Repair Kit at your local electronic store or check at your local videostore to see if they offer Disk repair services for a small fee.

As for the sound it makes, it is probably the console components that need to constantly be in use as many of the newer games demand more from those said components (refer to Support services phone number for further assistance).
