Perdicted the free games for Feb 2014

Lol Dead Island. I MIGHT play it if I can convince my friends to play it(assuming it is one of the games.) Otherwise, nahhh.

Majore nelson said Microsoft will announs the games tomorrow thre a blog.Guess this must have leakes or something.

 

Right well Just Cause 2 was leaked in December as the free games with gold in January but that was for Japan only....Dead island is just a rumor at this point in time. I wouldn't mind it though.

 

dead Island and toy story cold wars just confirmed as games with gold for February!!

crud..why cant they be a little more creative and give me something I dont already have? Maybe something thats not so mainstream like Tropico 4? Its a series I've always wanted to try but was reluctant to actually purchase.Ninety Nine Nights would be a
good choice as well.Something a little off the beaten path to get gamers interested in other franchises they normally wouldnt have known about.

 

Dead Island, woo! Now I can get my friends to play it! Plus, I sold it a while back and it'll be nice to have it again.

HailofSteel, you give Xbox 360 gamers "games off the beaten path", you get scorned for not giving them mainstream titles, as seen with trenched and defense grid.

 

I think its because they were arcade titles and not retail games.Many wont buy arcade because they dont think theres enough content or replayability.

 

@Hail -- You REALLY should check out either of the Tropico games. They are great. If you like sim/strategy type games, it'd be right up your alley.

As for 'Dead Island' .. it doesn't really interest me, but Toy Soldiers: Cold War seems interesting enough.

Wish i didn't already own Dead Island as it's a blast especially with 4 friends so this is a real treat for anyone who hasn't picked this up yet..Missed out on the Toy Soldiers free code awhile back so this will give me a second chance to pick it up

[/quote]You play as the ruler of a Banana Republic island. You can choose to rule with an iron fist or a people's leader. Both options have their positives and negatives. I'm pretty sure there is a demo on the Marketplace you can try out.

 

nice to see dead island the first freebie, i already have it on disc but now i can have the digital version as well and put another game in the drive for me to not play. and i assume the dlc will be discounted, i might pick that up as well.

super excited for toy soldiers: cold war in the second half. i've always wanted to pick it up but for one reason or another put it off, and now i can get it for free!

february is going to be a good month for free games between these offerings and ps+ getting metro: last light, payday 2, and remember me...then i'll get the last of us dlc free thanks to the season pass...

 

Got the first Toy Soldiers from that Doritos thing or whatever it was, so it'll be nice to have this one too.

I do have to admit, it's nice to see MS giving away some decent games these days. The first few months of "games with gold' were a joke for the most part. MS still has a good bit to go before they can keep up with the offerings of PS+, but it's nice to see
they are stepping up their game lately and I hope they continue this trend.
