  2. ENDLESS SERVICE ALERTS BY XBOX LIVE !!! STARING MICROSOFT !!!

WHY WHY WHY? Is XBOX LIVE never working right? Ever month its an issue... Last month couldn't play any Digital Downloaded games witch is mostly what i have...

**** THIS MONTH PARTY and ARK game chat isnt working... What the "BEEP" Is wrong with the money hungry Xbox Live / Microsoft people... Are they not smart enough to keep this pricey operation working for a year with no issues?

This monthly messing up trend by xbox live / microsoft is super stupid and annoying... Party chats dont work and game chat dont work... i thought it was my mic and bought one and it was XBOX LIVE... What the hell!

  3. Communication Band

I was recently communication band through Xbox live for saying vulgar things to another Xbox live member through the messages. The other Xbox member was continuously sending me invites to a party and when i finally joined he removed
me instantly. While i was in the party i managed to see that he had invited numerous other people to the party and more people were still joining. After I was removed from the party he continued to send me more invites to the party, causing me to say some
vulgar things to him through the messaging system. I feel it is unfair for me to be banded, because the other Xbox live member was provoking me.

Change your settings to "friend invites only" in the system settings on your xbox. They are aware there has been a spike recently in spam on xbox live and they are looking into it and that is their advice to stop the invites.

    Party etiquette...

People also tend to create one person parties and then hope someone will join without them inviting anyone. Some of my friends will also leave their consoles on after going to be and go afk on YouTube or Netflix and still be in a one person party. The great
thing about party chat is you can do different stuff and still be in chat. I think Sony copied Microsoft's Xbox Live Party Chat idea from Xbox 360 and now they have a Party chat on their 8th gen console or something. When I was choosing to go with either Xbox
or PS in 2010, someone said Xbox because they have Microsoft software not cheap software running on the console and Xbox Live and party chat and that the features of XBL are better than PSN which I think is true. Microsoft I think is a better software company
    than Sony.

    Hi,

I'm sorry you've had this problem when playing online. Let me point out that for someone to take you offline, they need to the means to so this. Most people you meet on Xbox Live won't.

The problem for Xbox Live is finding the perpetrators. Taking another person off Xbox Live is not something that is done through the Live Network. It's done through the Internet on a PC via internet/network snooping software. There is no way Microsoft can
stop the attack taking place since it's not conducted through Live.

Generally these attackers think they're rather clever and send messages stating what they are going to do.
DO NOT reply to these messages, simply report them. Sending threats through Xbox Live is enough for an Xbox Live suspension and permanent ban.

There are consequences to their actions. Report all take downs directly to your ISP so they can investigate. Denial of service attacks are illegal and perpetrators can be fined and or face a prison sentence.

We advise to only join parties with people you know and trust. Joining parties with others is an easy way for them to find your I.P address and conduct an illegal attack on your home internet connection.

XBOX on Windows 10 - Microphone does not work

Just so that I am clear when you are trying this in party chat? In game chat?

You can hear the other players in the chat but they can not hear you?

Are you starting the party through the stream on the xbox itself? Or are you starting the party through the xbox app on the pc itself?

    These are two different things.

I personally have noticed that if I try and join a party through the Xbox itself and not the xbox app I can hear the other people but they can not hear me. If I join the party or start a party and have people join through the xbox app on the PC then it works
    fine.

So try that and see if that fixes your problem.

    XBox one party chat unavaliable

But why should we have to add port forwarding to all of our modems when it USED to work? When I turn on my XBox 360- which uses the same modem, LAN setup and internet connection- party chat works first time, every time. I can invite, join and leave parties
at will. Come along the XBox 1 and suddenly party chat stops working. I don't think its a forwarding or NAT issue, it's just a system issue that needs to be resolved or at the very least, someone from Microsoft needs to get onto the forum and tell people.
If port forwarding IS required (and Microsoft makes that clear), half the people on XBox live wouldn't have a clue how to do it or why they are doing it- I know half my friends would be calling me about it. It also leaves the issue that when someone buys a
console, they will spend a frustrated hour on the internet researching this issue to get it working, something I don't think Microsoft would be wanting. Besides, there are security risks to port forwarding to the WAN, you should be very careful what you do
    in that regard.
