I wouldn't read too much into what people on Xbox Live say, when it concerns "hacking/kicking/ddosing" IPs.

It's an issue that Xbox is aware of and working on. (heck, it might even already be fixed, let me go check)

also make sure to use the remove gamertag from all consoles option in your account page, if you dont do this and they have your password saved they can keep logging in

As mentioned,you will need to report them via your console.That's the only way the enforcement team will investigate them.

 

well i know a friend who got banned for hacking/ modding by accident and you the enforcement team aint doing any thing about people who has mine familys and my friends info

We are not the XBLPET. If you filed the single complaint against the user(s) in question then that is all you can do. The XBLPET will look into it.

No one has your personal information unless you gave it out to them, the most someone can have is your IP address which anyone in the world who connects to you for even a second on the internet can get without any trouble at all.

FYI, booting someone offline also isn't "hacking." It's a DDoS attack which does not go through the Xbox LIVE servers. If something does not go through the Xbox LIVE servers then the XBLPET has nothing to investigate. If the XBLPET has nothing to investigate
then they have no reason to ban someone.

Reboot your modem and router. This should give you a new IP address.

Do not accept communications from the alleged "hacker" and do not play games with him/her/them. If no contact is made then he/she/they cannot get your IP address and cannot boot you offline.

The only information a person can obtain without your knowledge is your IP address. If they have other personal details you must have let them slip or it's someone who knows you (or possibly knows someone you know).

With the IP address a person can easily tell the general area you live in but that's it. A really fantastic hacker--usually a White Hat--can actually figure out what block you may live on given enough time and effort but there are very few people who can do
that and quite frankly someone isn't going to go through the effort about a GTAV or Call of Duty match.

There's also no real hacking that goes on with Xbox LIVE. There's plenty of phishing schemes where people trick you--or use your social media sites--into divulging account information but Xbox LIVE is quite secure and your account details were not leaked from
it.

In regards to the people in question getting banned the simple truth of the matter is you will never know. Enforcement actions are confidential and decisions are not made open to the public. They also take time to investigate thoroughly because if Microsoft
makes a mistake and bans someone who doesn't deserve that ban then the wrongfully banned person can bring up an arbitration case against Microsoft (not to mention the PR nightmare).

So they will either get banned or not but pestering people about it won't change anything. You don't realize this but the people you are accusing could come right on here and say that you are harassing them and could even go as far as defaming them. You
cannot allege something where there is no way to get proof and expect results.

If your mum is really upset then I suggest she contacts your ISP and local law enforcement agency. Most countries have laws concerning this type of cyber attack.

regardless the reason, the methods the facts are this is happening and should be looked into. this behavior is unacceptable. if the means of changing your pass word, reporting a person, and removing your account from all xboxs isnt enough someone should
look into it further

I watched your video and with the exception of one word which some people might consider vulgar nothing was said about "hacking" or "banning."

What was said by the other person however was that he felt you owed him an apology for defaming him on these forums.

Here's a piece of advice, stop violating forum policy before you end up receiving an enforcement action.
