People Carnt heare me and controller wont update with new console update

Before doing anything below...please perform a hard reset. Hold the xbox logo on the front of the console until the system shuts down. Wait 10 secs, and then turn the console back on using the controller..

try this...

-take the batteries out of your controller

-keep any adapters and headsets plugged into the controller

-plug the usb wire into the controller and console

-lay the controller down

then perform the update

(We are doing it this way because if the usb cable is used soley, we can make sure the cable isnt loosing its connection)

Have you tried updating the controller, im having same problem as youse but wont let me update contoller and i can hear everyomne in party but no body can hear me

i have also tried that soloution the only one i carnt do is offline update as i dont have a usb stick but i have got a 2tb hardrive wich i was useing on my xbox one some reason my pc wont find it so i carnt even try to format it and try to put the update
offline on that to try

how do you update your controller? my stock mic wont let me talk but i can hear fine. i feel like this could be the problem

I am having the same problem. Unfortunately, my friends are now saying they can barely hear my mic. If I leaved the adapter plugged into the controller when it's started up, then the controller wont sync. When I plug in the adapter after the console is already
powered on, it prompts me to update the controller. I try to update the controller and it fails each time. I've tried all the troubleshooting steps associated with it.

Very very frustrating. I'm going to purchase another controller to try and see if that solves the problem.
