    People can’t hear me

People can’t hear me for some reason while I’m in an Xbox party. On my side I can hear them, and it acts like normal and it doesn’t say anything is wrong. I’ve tried everything, restarting my Xbox, getting a whole new mic, basically everything. I don’t know what I need to do.

    :)

    Hey there Nobody1895,

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to deal with this issue. I can totally understand how this could be pretty discouraging for sure. I suggest trying the steps outlined in our support page entitled Troubleshoot
    the Xbox One Chat Headset
. It has steps for things like this.

When you get the chance, give that a shot and let us know if that helped.

    Thanks for reading!

    Hello Jandez1

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I understand that you have an issue in regard to your audio while on parties to your Xbox Game. Let’s work together in finding the best resolution to this issue.

For me to better understand the issue, I’d like to ask a few questions:

    • Is this working before?
    • What are the changes made prior of having the issue?
You mentioned above that you already tried to restart the Xbox App and buy new headphone and still the issue persists. I made research I found a steps on how to correct this from the Xbox website. You may follow the steps below.

    • Check that your privacy settings allow communication with everyone. Press the Xbox button  to open the guide and select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Privacy & online safety > Xbox privacy. Select View details & customize > Communication & multiplayer, and then make your changes.
    • Unmute or unblock the person you’re trying to chat with. Press the Xbox button  to open the guide, and then select Parties & chats. Select the party to expand the party roster, choose the person you want to unmute, and select Unmute.
    • Check the party chat volume for each person in your party. Press the Xbox button  to open the guide, and then select Parties & chats. Select the party to expand the party roster, choose the person you want to check, and then verify that their volume slider is at a level that you can hear. To change the volume level, move left or right using the D-pad or the left stick to adjust the volume slider.
    • Check that you have joined party chat from within the party window.
    • Check to make sure you’re not in a Discord voice channel. If you are, it’ll say “Discord” and the name of the channel. If you’re in a Discord voice channel, go to the following page for troubleshooting suggestions: How to use Discord with Xbox
    • Check to see if the party member who is unable to be heard has Noise Suppression enabled on their settings. To toggle this on and off:
      1. Press the Xbox button  to open the guide and select Parties & chats.
      2. Highlight the party listed and then press the A button  > Options.
      3. Turn Noise Suppression on and off.

    We await your response.
