people can’t add me as a friend

for the past few days people haven’t been able to add me as a friend. i’ve tried resetting my xbox and deleting my profile and nothing fixes it. it sucks when i make a new friend in a game and add them as a friend just for them to say that they can’t add me back. i’ve never had this problem until recently and no one else seems to having the same issues. if anyone knows a solution or why this is happening to me that would be really helpful

are you part of the Xbox insider program and trying out new os updates before others? I noticed a couple of days ago I have an error in call of duty it says I can't see other member's content and it says to go into privacy settings but still have an issue with this even after a console reset. If you are part of the insider beta program I'm thinking the most recent update has issues.
