    I had an ongoing subscription that I didn't know about, so I ended up owing Microsoft $10. Yesterday, payed it and now it's saying that the charge is pending. Why is it pending if I have over enough money to pay for it on my card. It's been pending for a
    whole day now.

    Xbox Live hard to cancel

    I got a deal when I set up my new profile on a 3 month subscription to Xbox Live. I paid $9.99 for 3 months. Then I forgot to cancel it and they automatically charged my card. I just figured out how to remove the automatic renewal but I have a charge pending for another 3 months. It is so hard to cancel a subscription.

    Has the charge completed from your account, or is it pending? I sometimes find that the pending charges are in my bank account but they don't actually clear when things get declined.

    They typically don't charge you until the item ships, so the initial pending charge may have been for verification and was removed until they actually charge you.

    Hi there,

    The two purchases, are they showing as pending charges on a card, or solid/applied charges?

    If both are showing as pending, one will drop off in a couple days while the other will actually be applied to the card.

    Same thing happens when using a credit card at a gas station.
