    Dear Sir / Madam,

    I got a problem with the Windows 10 xbox app.

    - When i unlock an achievement, i don't get the on screen notification (overlay).

    I get the achievement though, i can see it when i close the game in the app, just not during a gaming session.

    - I don't recieve game requests from friends.

    Friends can invite me, but i don't get a notification (nor in game nor in app).

    Other friends on PC don't have this problem.

    I have to be the one hosting, or join them from the app -through their profile page. (but that's not always an option)

    Achievement Notifications are pointless and can't be disabled

    Every time I unlock an Achievement while playing on my Xbox One, I now get a notification from the Xbox App on my iPhone.

    This is a totally pointless "feature". When I've unlocked an Achievement, I am quite obviously
    on my Xbox, and as such will already know that I've just unlocked an Achievement - spamming the Xbox App on my phone with notifications about the same Achievements is utterly unnecessary, and
    extremely annoying.

    There is also no way to turn it off without disabling all notifications for the Xbox App.

    The notification settings in the Xbox App on iOS let you enable/disable notifications for Messages, Friends, Clubs, etc., and yet there is no option to specifically turn off this completely redundant "feature".

    No Notifications on Xbox App

    I've suddenly stopped receiving notifications from the Xbox App a few weeks ago. Some time ago, I noticed the notifications for say achievements, friend requests and invites were delayed (varied over time), but recently it just completely stopped. I was
    thinking it was a software issue within the Xbox App itself, so I checked the settings and toggled the notification settings but to no avail. I also tried installing and using the Xbox App(beta) but that also didn't fix the issue. I then decided it could be
    a hardware issue and so checked on my Surface Book and a separate desktop PC, neither of which fixed it. I suspect it could be an issue with my account rather than anything to do with Windows, however, I will note that the Xbox App is NOT listed in the Notifications
    & Actions settings on Windows 10, meaning I can't control how notifications are done outside of the app itself (which wasn't the case before).

    I rely entirely on receiving notifications on my Windows Mobile to see if I've received a message, achievement or friend request.

    Hi Kathy,

    To answer your questions:

    1. Yes, I mean the Xbox achievements.

    2. I don't play them offline.

    3. I installed both games from Xbox app. It's from Game Pass subscription.

    4. So far, I've tried with Plague Tale Requiem and Somerville. Both games didn't pop up any achievement when I unlocked them so I assume this happens with every game. Note that I can look up the overlay and can see the achievements just fine though. The problem here is that there's no notification when I unlock them.

    My Windows, drivers, and apps are all up to date.

    Interesting...I wasn't aware that was added as a feature. I checked the Notification settings and don't see anything that might be useful in stopping text messages from appearing in the Voice Overlay area. I turned off the Party notifications and my text
    replies were still displayed in the Voice Overlay area.

    I will file a Report via my Xbox Insiders app and submit your feedback requesting an option to exclude the chat log from the Voice Overlay section.

    Achievements not popping up

    Update:

    Tonight I was on Xbox and achievement notification were not popping again apart from 2 but they all unlocked perfectly fine but also a party notification from my friend did not pop up.

    Just notification over all seem to be intermittent from time to time.

    2 Achievements not unlocking, despite recieving notifications from Xbox and the Xbox app on my phone that they were unlocked.

    The fact that you're getting Bad Request error when you try to view your profile leads me to believe it might be something else.

    Where are you getting the error message? On the console, or on Xbox.com?

    Also, you recieved the notification on your phone that the achievements unlocked? Where are you seeing that it's not unlocked, on the console, xbox.com, or Xbox App?

    Are you having issues with other games and achievements, or just these two right now?

    Sometimes achievements do not show a notification. (bug)

    Can you check your achievements list for the game? Let me know.

    1) Go home, then select your profile

    2) Go down to "Achievements"

    3) Find the game and check the achievement list.

    or

    1) Say 'Xbox, go to achievements."

    Some achievement notifications were not popping for my friend, however he still unlocked them.
