    Pc Xbox app mic issues


    Hi!

    I have recently gotten a pc and I use the xbox app to talk to my friends on xbox. I use a Razer Kraken and I have the jacks plugged into the pink and lime ports on my pc case. I have RealTek audio

    My mic is picking up the sounds my pc has as they can hear themselves, videos I watch and the audio from games I play. I know it is not my headset audio as this is only an issue on the xbox app (this doesn't happen on Discord).

    Any suggestions on how to fix this?

    We understand that your friends have been hearing sound from your computer while using Xbox app. Let us check on this together so you will get back to gaming.

    Would you mind trying performing this suggested troubleshooting?

    1. Uninstall Realtek audio driver
      • Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
      • Expand the Sound and video game controllers
      • Look for installed Audio driver (Realtek), right click and tick the box for Delete driver on this device.
      • Lastly, uninstall/uninstall device.
    2. Enable stock Windows driver:
      1. Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
      2. Locate sound driver by clicking the drop-down arrow to expand one of the categories.
      3. Right-click on the installed driver and then select Properties.
      4. Under the display driver properties window, select the Driver tab.
      5. Select Roll Back Driver and select Ok.
    3. Plug in your headphone into the front panel (if you have been plugging in your headphone in front panel try on back panel) and configure your headphone.

    The mic of my Starfield Wireless Headphones has poor quality on PC

    The mic it's working, but his quality is poor on any game or app on the PC, I had another headphones wired and those had a good quality mic so it's not a PC issue

    Nah that didnt work man, the mic works as ive been using it on the xbox app on my phone and pc. The issue is using it with the xbox console.

    Xbox not recognizing my mic when streaming after update.

    A patch was released for the xbox app, and that has fixed this issue for me. Used my PC mic while streaming earlier today without issue, so this seems to have been fixed, finally.
    Same. Not sure if it matters but I'm using the Xbox beta app, mic worked with headset plugged into the controller while streaming.
