PC Won't Connect The Xbox App To Xbox But Works Fine On Phone

Having issues connecting my pc xbox app to my xbox. It worked fine before quite a few months ago but have had no such luck.

I've tried inputting the IP address, restarting both systems, disabling windows firewall, nothing has worked and getting super frustrated.

The App works great on my andriod but can't connect it to my xbox on my pc.

The xbox is directly plugged with an ethernet cable.

If this information helps at all, when using the app on my pc, if i go to settings then network under server connectivity it says blocked. so dont know if this has anything to do with it, tried the suggestions when following the link.

Like i said it worked great few months ago but now does not work.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Edited Suggestions That Have Not Worked

-I hard reset the app

-I've removed the ethernet cable, did not show up, typed in the IP address even changing from 5g network to regular did not work

-Tried download xbox app beta version on the store, same issues also

-Setting Preferences for xbox app connectivity is set to allow connections from any device

Hi, then it goes on settings Xbox resets from the console the accesibility. Remove the ethernet cable from the console try checking to see if it is on the PC. In case it does not go try to download Xbox Beta on the store.

You can try restore your Xbox App on Windows 10.

Go to Settings > Apps > Select Xbox App on the List > Advanced > Restore.

I'm sorry to hear that the issue is persisting. Since your phone can connect to the Xbox and I'm assuming all three devices are on the same network, there is definitely something in the PC causing this issue. Let's try troubleshooting the Xbox app on your
PC a little further.

Perform the steps mentioned below and see if it helps.

a: Press Windows key + X.

b: Then click Command Prompt(Admin)

c: Now type the following command and hit enter

Get-AppxPackage *windowsstore* | Remove-AppxPackage

Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackage

After a restart enter the following command (again in a powershell in admin):

Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

This will install any missing built-in apps you may have uninstalled.
