    PC with HDMI issues

I'm running my PC media center through my Xbox one. HDMI through Xbox through surround sound is causing major problems. I am expecting HMDI to be a passthrough with the One having an overlay on the video. Why does my PC constantly get a lost signal when
the screen changes? Whenever I move the mouse, I get a lost TV signal error.

This is making want to just put the Xbox in the garage for a while since PC through 5.1 works fine without. Can Xbox not work with Windows 7 even thouigh it is the same dev?

    :)

    Minecraft on PC.

O yeah... HDMI is better than VGA connection. Im sticking with Xbox 360 gaming rather than PC gaming. Since every PC is made differently, there can be compatibility issues. All sorts of issues come with PC gaming. Registry, RAM, processor speed, what sort
of graphics card you have, viruses, etc. Look at the issues the Sims 3 has for PC compared with the Xbox 360 console. And yup I have a Sony KDL40EX720 LED Full HDTV. LED in my opinion is better cause it's thinner great contrast and power efficient.

    Weird Sound Issues.

Via HDMI, I only have this connected via HDMI, everything else is connected via SCART. there is no problems with the HDMI lead as i have checked it with my other XBOX (an older model) and i have no other sound issues (gmaes and streamed media from my PC
are fine) it's only when playing DVD's. i really don't know what else to do!?!

The Xbox One has to either genlock its own output with the input signal, or buffer the input and correct for differences in sync every once in a while (such as dropping or repeating input frames). I don't know which of those methods they use, but I'm getting
the impression they're doing the latter.

    .

Either way, this type of integration is difficult to perform and can produce all sorts of issues. For instance, your PC may be outputting at 60 Hz and the Xbox One expecting the input to be 59.94 Hz. Or it may output full range RGB and the Xbox One preferring
limited range RGB, revealing bugs in how it manages the input signal.

    .

It's probably quite an underdeveloped part of the system that will need a bit of time to get working as they update it. Hence why they're officially "restricting" the HDMI in port to TV boxes. It narrows down the variables a bit.

Thanks for the input, I think I was just getting super annoyed when I posted that. Clearing the cache or whatever happens when I hold down the power button for about ten seconds has helped clear the issue up. I think just doing that every couple of weeks
    should keep things running smoothly.

Microsoft fixing the issue of incompatibility between laptop's mini display port and HDMI port of smart TV

    In addition to previous:

I tryed the hdmi cable to pc with direct hdmi input-it works, and I tried this HDMI cable with MAC-works, so, issue is exactly with incompataability of mini display port either with pc, or with hdmi cable, but because it worked before updatings (i do not
know exactly which one)-it is a software problem, so, Microsoft should fix it

PC Monitor keeps switching from Xbox to PC then back to Xbox

Hi, try disconnecting all the cables, HDMI and power ( Xbox, PC, monitor ) cables from the mains power outlet, wait for around ten minutes then connect everything back up and try things again.

That worked for me when I used to have this issue when using a PC monitor. You are correct that the xbox and PC are fighting for the display.

Something else that is worth a try is to change the HDMI setting on the xbox from auto to HDMI, that's in settings/ all settings/ display & sound/ video output.
