    PC WIRELESS GAMING RECEIVER doesn't connect to the controller


    -Got windows 10,

    -Tried to download the latest windows 7 64 bit driver, didn't work

    -Both the receiver and the controller blink and stop together but the controller just keeps blinking and doesn't stop with one light

    -Tried different controllers and computer

    -Tried this tutorial: YouTube 4_PFdPmdNiM (take the space out)

    i do everything like him until 2:15 when i try to do exactly what he does a pop up says "the specified folder doesn't have any software controller compatible with this device."

    Xbox 360 controller for Windows 8.1

    The Play and Charge kit doesn't allow a wireless controller to connect to a PC as a game pad. You'll need the wireless gaming receiver for a wireless controller to connect.

    Connecting my Xbox 360 controller to Windows 8 laptop.

    For wireless Xbox 360 controllers, you cannot use the charging cable to connect to a PC (it only transfers power, not data). To use the controller with a PC, you will either need an "Xbox 360 controller for Windows" (non-detachable cable) or use your existing
    wireless controller with the wireless gaming receiver for Windows.

    This is the wireless adapter you could use:

    Connect xbox elite controller to PC

    The elite controller doesn't have bluetooth so unless you have a MS wireless receiver connected to your PC, no way you are getting a wireless connection between your PC and controller.

    You can use a wired connection or use one of the newer controllers who do have bluetooth.

    Hi,

    I suspect you're attempting to connect an Xbox 360 wireless controller to your PC using a Play & Charge cable? Effectively making it a wired controller?

    I'm afraid this won't work. Unlike Xbox One/Series X controllers, wireless 360 controllers are always wireless, connecting a Play & Charge simply charges the battery or powers the controller if no battery is present. Unfortunately the cable doesn't send data.

    The only way to connect these controllers to a PC is via an Xbox 360 gaming receiver. The receiver for Xbox one controllers is not compatible.

    Hi,

    The Wireless Optical receiver doesn't work with the Xbox 360 controller. The 360 uses it's own type of wireless protocol. To connect the controller you'll need a Xbox 360 wireless gaming receiver.
