    [PC - Win 10] Minecraft does not update to RTX Beta


    Hi!

    I wanted to try out the new RTX Beta on Minecraft, and I've tried following the steps to do so, but Minecraft does not update to the RTX Beta.

    • I have win 10 (OS build 18363.778) installed and have a RTX 2080 Ti GPU.
    • I bought Minecraft Win 10 Starter Collection in Windows Store. (I already had Minecraft - Java Edition since 2010, but regrettably I missed the offer for a free copy of Minecraft - Win 10 in April)
    • I logged in with my old xbox account in Minecraft Win 10, an account I haven't used in 10 years since I had an xbox 360.
    • From Microsoft Store, I downloaded Xbox Insider hub and enrolled in the Minecraft RTX Beta, and according to the hub I have successfully enrolled.
    • According to the guide, I now only have to install the game or "update it" to the get the RTX beta version. I don't understand how to update it, as there is no buttons to do so in Microsoft Store. Minecraft (v.1.14.60) never updates to the RTX beta (v.1.15.0.8). According to the guide it should prompt an update in game or if that doesn't work, just reinstall it. But neither works, I'm stuck on 1.14.

    I read that it can take time to enroll in the beta as it is very popular, but I've waited a week now and as the insider hub says I'm enrolled I wonder if something else is missing. Perhaps because I'm logged in on my xbox account in Minecraft Win 10 on a windows pc?

    Is there anyone here that has the same issue?

    I can't install RTX for minecraft

    Hi,

    Did you find a fix to your issue?

    I purchased Minecraft for Windows 10 yesterday, updated my drivers to the latest version and joined the beta via the insider app. Minecraft for Windows 10 RTX beta was in the list on my PC.

    Xbox Insider Hub account locked with minecraft still in beta

    I have found a solution. After I deleted my original insider account I created a new one and joined the rtx minecraft beta other than the nether beta which was what I was in. I then updated minecraft to rtx and unenrolled and reverted back to the normal
    minecraft version.

    You need to enroll into the game beta on the Xbox insider hub on your PC, and then make sure to go into the manage section of that minecraft beta, and select the RTX version.

    make sure to uninstall your current version of Minecraft after saving all your worlds. All the maps you need to download ingame in the market, they are all free and specifically say RTX
