    [PC] System crashes on multiple games


    Using the Xbox app on Windows with the Game Pass allowed me to try many games which is cool. However, there are many titles that cause a system crash after minutes or seconds. Some examples I gathered that I played and some that crashed my PC entirely.

    • Forager (OK)
    • Slay the Spire (OK)
    • Football Manager 2021 (OK)
    • Metro Exodus (system crash)
    • Carto (OK)
    • Starbound (OK)
    • Bridge Constructor (OK)
    • Forza Horizon 4 (OK)
    • Deep Rock Galactic (Crash) many more I forget, but doesn't really matter.

    Especially Deep Rock Galactic was a bummer. I have tried disabling overlays such as NVidia, and checked event logs that just mention the sudden shutdown of the PC. Does anyone have an idea what could cause this? Reinstalling does nothing and everything (OS and drivers) is up to date..

    Saves still getting lost...

    I have definitely reinstalled the game multiple times and now all saves are gone and the game crashes repeatedly after sync completes..

    Also I should have mentioned this is on PC not XBox One.

    Xbox One X sent for repair but has come back with the same fault - refund help!

    It would freeze in game for a few seconds then crash straight back to dashboard. Did this on multiple games - redownloaded, reinstalled, cleared cache, factory resest but still didn't work. Sent it back for repair, got it back monday, downloaded games again,
    played tonight and it crashed 4 times.

    I was trying xbox instead of upgrading my pc - but that has totally put me off. Probably just a bad one - but i will stick to my pc and upgrade.

    Hello Vinny, if your PC is doing this only with the game's mods, it may be that they are conflicting with the system or with the game causing your PC to crash.
