[PC][SoD2] Xbox Game Bar - Accepting invite from friend to Game does nothing

Seen when playing State of Decay 2.

Xbox Friend invited me to his game, and we were both in a party together (of which he had invited me, and I accepted through Game Bar).

I select the notification for the invite, and it brings up a pop-up with the check or X buttons. I select the check button to accept the invite.

Nothing happens, in-game or in the game bar itself. I was completely unable to join his game via Game Bar. Is there an alternative to join friend's sessions/invites? It is somewhat confusing to have Game Bar and the Xbox Beta App all working at the same
time. I tried to view this friend's full profile via Game Bar and it opened a browser page to view it.

I really wish somebody would actually answer this question cause i have the same problem. im on pc and friend is on xbox and when he sends an invite the check mark does nothing but i can decline like its nothing

yes i have gamebar but when i get invited i press accept and nothing happens

also when i try to invite it says there are no friends online

my friend is playing on the xbox game app version for pc

I'd recommend you download the XBOX Game Bar from the Microsoft store. Hope it helps.

Another solution:

Create a Team within the game. Invite your friends into the team via Xbox app. Let them accept the invite. Play together.

After uninstalling and reinstalling Sea of Thieves and the Xbox Game Bar many times, I am able to invite and accept invites on Sea of Thieves Insider through the Game Bar. I am able to send invites from the Game Bar for Sea of Thieves. However, when I receive an invite or try to join in on Sea of Thieves, I still have the same problem. Sea of Thieves and Sea of Thieves Insider are two different builds. There must be a file somewhere on my computer that is not being deleted or uninstalled and it's not allowing me to accept these invites on just Sea of Thieves. I don't know how to find this file.
