If you guys want to complain you've picked the wrong subject.

Even if MS brings Halo, Gears, etc to the PC the number of PC gamers that will care will be minimal. The PC gamers that want to play those games already have consoles like I do.

What will happen is that the people who own One's will suddenly be "last gen" and you'll see the threads like we see now in regards to dropping support for the 360 because it holds the One back. Why play the games on the One when you can play true "next
gen" on a shiny new gaming PC......sound familiar? That's what you should be ranting about.

I played all my games on consoles (except for 2-3 years on Amiga 500),consoles has always been outdated/ "last gen" but never make me want to play on a PC.....

If i was a PC gamer,it won't bother me not beeing able to play a few "last gen"exclusives, when i can get better games and better services elsewhere.

I had an Amiga 500 .. Zool rocked .

True , most consoles are last gen , ...on the day they are released , lolz .

But ordinary folk , and pc gamers with £2,500 alienware machines buy em .

We like em , and , er .....what was this thread about ? , I've had a few beers ..

6.
I have no problems with paying for Live knowing those on the P.C. don't, as I already have a gaming P.C. that gets no use. To put it into perspective...Fallout 4 is my most anticipated game, and given the choice of paying $59.99 and
renewing my Gold on the X Box or getting the game for free and no Live on the P.C.; I'd rather fork over the coin. I just don't enjoy P.C. gaming. Think of P.C.s as a "work" device.

Peace, J.R.
Why did you buy a gaming PC when it sounds as if you knew you'd never use it for that task?

Have you considered downgrading to a lower spec system and putting the money toward some more One content?
I spent years playing games on PC but gave up because of modders/hackers ruining almost every game I played.

I've owned nearly all consoles going back to the PS1, but when I got the Xbox 360 I decided enough was enough with PC and went gold with Xbox. I've never looked back.

I still game on PC, but now only offline. I'm more than happy to pay for Xbox live, as for the most part, it's trouble free.
Surprised you went to the 360 if it was hacks you were worried about. The console is notorious for online mods in games from
Call of Duty to Grand Theft Auto. The PS3 while not clear of them is less susceptible because of how hard it to to mods the data compared to the 360.

This is what I like about the One. It's been over a year and there are still no online mods or hacks to play pirated content. It seems that, hopefully, they have the cheats beaten at last.

Had the intention of playing it when I was building. Got a few emulators, tons of ROMs of my favorite games, wireless 360 controller, etc.. I'm actually thinking about selling it to one of my friends and building another; have to keep talking myself out
of it, because I know after the build it would be ignored. Lol.

If I wanted more One content, I'd just buy it. As it stands, I don't have enough time to play the games I have; though I plan on making time for the Borderlands re-release and Fallout 4 when it comes out.

Peace, J.R.

Have a Like sir.

I've done things like that in the past. Built things for the challenge and then realised I'd have no use for it when I was done.

A lot of the fun for me in a PC build is the act of actually putting it together.

I don't really give a hoot if I have to pay up to NZ$79.95 a year for Gold. Gold subscription is fairly priced. I don't know why some of you are moaning about the price. Compare the cost of 12 months Gold membership to: 12 months internet bill, 12 months
SKY TV bill, 12 months power bill. It's nothing compared to the cost of those bills. Play multiplayer, and Xbox Live Party Chat on Xbox 360 (you CANT Xbox Live Party Chat on Xbox 360 without Gold or Gold Trial). It means Unlimited Party Chat with friends and
randoms from the same country or different countries on both Xbox 360 and Xbox 1. How much would it cost to call them on your phone? The Gold service is worth the money. I pay much more a year on games than I do for my Gold subscription. I am happy to be with
Xbox. Not all of us can afford a high end gaming PC. With PC gaming, you have to consider your PC specs. With Xbox, theres none of that. I have an HP Pavilion dv6 with intel core i5 4GB RAM Windows 7 Home 64 bit and 1GB AMD HD Radeon 6490 and when I tried
to play The Sims 3 on it, it conked out. However The Sims 3 has never conked out on me on Xbox 360. And yes I keep everything updated on my PC. I use to play a few PC games before I joined Xbox, including Zoo Tycoon 2 and The Sims 2. Also, reports of viruses
on Xbox 360 and Xbox 1 genuine consoles are negligible.

one platform but not another, rather than moaning.

To me it is a fair point. I would guess that most people buy Gold to play online and not for any of the other benefits. So people seeing another platform getting that benefit for no cost does make them question why they must pay.

I don't think the amount is important to them. rather why they must pay at all.

You have
a point with the 360 but on the One party chat isn't that important. After all they have an app, SKYPE, that can allow four way chat no matter the users membership level.

If they ever allow you to run SKYPE in the background then party chat is pretty much finished.

This may come as a surprise to you but most PC gamers don't have a high end gaming PC. Here's a link to the Steam hardware survey, a break down of what it's users do have in their computers
store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey.

Take a look at the 'average' PC at the bottom of the page, it's really not that different to your laptop.

Twenty years I've owned a Windows based PC and in that time I have never been infected with a virus, they don't just magically appear

Pay to Fortnite

That means less people playing with the Xbox console. Xbox Live Gold is not that cheap, so people want to play a free game that is actually free. Microsoft allows pc players to play Fortnite Battle Royale for free...
PCs do not connect via Xbox Live. There are tens of millions of Xbox Live Gold subscribers, and many of them play Fortnite, and, like everyone else, they will move on to another game when its popularity wanes. The game is indeed free-to-play provided you meet
the conditions for the network you're using. On Xbox Live, that requires Xbox Live Gold, since that is fair to all users and to all game developers.
