(PC) paused download in Xbox app. Download has now disappearance but is still taking up...

I stated downloading Forza 5 yesterday. I paused it before I went to bed. Today I turned the app back on, the download has disappeared, but the partially downloaded game is still taking up roughly >80gb of space space on my hard drive. I can't find it anywhere on my hard drive however. So now I'm stuck, I can't try and re-download the game as I don't have space; and I can't remove it because I can't find it. This seems like a pretty huge bug, it's like I've got a virus. HELP!!!!

edit: It isn't in my library or in "manage installs".

Same thing happened with me, don't know how to fix it but I know how to free up space. The Windowsapps folder will say 0 bytes in file explorer, but with another software like windirstat it will show its acually taking up over 100gb, you cant access the folder becuase you dont have permission so what u need to do is:E

Go to the microsoft store app and search forza horizon 5, press install with gamepass at the top of the standard edition (Make sure your logged into your gamepass acc) it should startoff from where you left off. Worked for me. If this doesnt work use the steps below to uninstall the files.

Right click and open the folders properties.
Go to the security tab
Click advanced
In the new window at the top next to owner click the change button
where there is a box which above says "Enter the object name to select (examples)"
In that box type "Administrators" (assuming your and admin on your pc)
click check names next to the box,
the text "Administrators" should be changed to "PC name*/Administrators
then click ok
on the window, check the box at the top "Replace owner on sub containers and objects"
click apply
click ok
go back to file explorer
you should now be able to access the folder and delete the files.

 

To fix this, simply go into the microsoft store (not xbox app) and start the install there, my boyfriend had the idea and it worked, it randomly popped back up in the xbox app and continued from where the download had dissapeared, i hope this works for you as i spent days having no idea wtf to do as xbox supp was useless
