PC on Xbox one?

    PC on Xbox one?


    Hey all, wouldn't it be cool to have a pc on an Xbox one? You could plug in a USB for a wireless mouse and keyboard and use it as a normal pc and run on windows 10! I hope one day, they will have a update for this feature!!!

    xbox solitaire on pc

    I have solitaire and taptiles on my pc with window 8.1. I have played them numerous times on daily challenges. For about a week now, I hit daily challenge it goes to the screen that shows the numerous games you can play. I pick one, I watch the ad, then
    I hit Play and it disconnects and goes back to the Start screen (the one that has all the rectangles). I don't understand --- I can play games individually but NOT the daily challenge ones. June

    xbox on pc

    i downloaded the Forza horizon 4 demo to my computer but it wont launch . ERROR BOX MESSAGE READS THAT I CAN'T LAUNCH AS dependent libraries or components are missing from my computer with an Error Code FH001. of course that code doesnt register anything
    when I tried to check it. I waited close to two hours to download the demo, and I'm guessing it was all for nothing now. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Xbox 1 is a console, NOT a DESKTOP PC.

    It will be funny when Goth sees this thread. If you don't like the idea of a controller, play on your PC. Xbox 1 also has it's own special OS. Microsoft won't exactly run a full version Windows 10 OS meant for PC's, on Xbox, even though Xbox runs a Windows
    10 LIKE OS. Every different platform needs it's own tailored OS to run well on it. Xbox 1's OS is split into 3: (1) Xbox OS (2) Windows kernel (3) Hypervisor which combines the other 2.

    However, you can still stick a USB chargeable device or a USB external HDD to Xbox 1.

    There is absolutely no reason a console can't run a PC operating system.

    The Sega Dreamcast ran on a base of Windows CE. The Playstation 3 ran a version of linux.

    Why they don't do it is the potential security risk. Not to the PC OS but that you have greater access to the console's files, which opens you up to being able to run pirated games.

    How will the Xbox One version differ from the 360?

    Minecraft will not cost more than the pc version. The xbox one is a pc, we will likely see an equivalent version from the pc on xbox one.

    Do you think because xbox one uses direct x 11.1 and windows os plays a key role? Should be easier for pc and xbox one developement or porting from pc to xbox one. Or the other way around xbox one to pc.

    Xbox One games themselves cannot be played on the PC. You can however download PC games that are Xbox Live enabled. Some of these are Xbox Play Anywhere games, and as was stated, there is Xbox Game Pass for PC which lets you play over one hundred PC games.
    These are a mix of PC games & Xbox Live enabled PC games.
