    PC not recognizing Xbox Controller


    My Pc is no longer recognizing my Xbox Controller. I bought this controller months ago and it suddenly stopped working. It's wired to the pc and powers on but the light justs blinks. I tried other controllers and they work fine. I bought A new usb cable with data transfer and it still don't connect. Is there anything I can do or should I try to return it?

    Have you by any chance attempted to connect the controller directly to the PC through a wired connection?

    As well, you have mentioned that the controller that came with the Xbox One console is recognized on the PC, but that the elite controller is not recognized at all on the PC. This same elite controller, does it have any issues with connecting to the Xbox
    One console?

    On your Windows 10 PC, I would recommend opening Device Manager and check that the adapter is being recognized properly on the PC and there are no issues listed with that device.

    I would also recommend trying to connect the controller up via a USB cable and see if the controller is recognized that way.

    And before that, I would ask that this is a Xbox One controller, or is this an Xbox 360 controller that you're trying to use?

    Can I use Original Xbox360 controller on pc (the controller of the xbox360)?

    If the Xbox 360 controller is a wired controller, then the controller can be used on the PC, just plug it in the USB port, and it should recognize it and let you use it. If it is a wireless Xbox 360 controller, then you will need the Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows to connect the controller to your PC.

    Is the controller a wireless controller or wired? If it is wireless, how are you connecting it? If by using the play & charge kit, then the Xbox 360 controller will not work, as the cable is only recognized on PC for charging only. You need to use a Xbox
    360 Wireless adapter for PC to connect a wireless Xbox 360 controller to your PC.
