    Hello.

I've read the "Known Issues" page (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...s/221c9d7f-dc91-4067-ba81-33ab671179b5?auth=1)

It says that to resolve my problem I must first have one of the following versions of Windows 10 installed :

    • Supported Windows Build Numbers:
      • For 2004: 10C Win 10 2004 (20H1)
        • Version: 2004-OS Build 19041.610 and 20H2-OS Build 19042.610
        • Requires KB 4580364

      • For 1909: 10C Win 10 1909 (19H2)
        • Version: 1903-OS Build 18362.1171 and 1909-OS Build 18363.1171
        • Requires KB 4580386

      • For 1903: 10C Win 10 1903 (19H1)
        • Version: 1903-OS Build 18362.1171 and 1909-OS Build 18363.1171
        • Requires KB 4580386

      • For 20H2: 10C Win 10 20H2 (20H2)
        • Version: 2004-OS Build 19041.610 and 20H2-OS Build 19042.610
        • Requires KB 4580364

    I am on version : 1909, build 18363.1198

The "Check updates" says that I do not have updates to install.

However, I do not have KB 450386 that I should have to fix my problem.

I tried to install it but it says that my hardware is not compatible.

Furthermore, I've tried, using the update agent, to install version 2004 and I received this error : After updating to or installing Windows 10, version 20H2 or Windows 10, version 2004, you might receive a stop error when plugging in a Thunderbolt NVMe
    SSD

Seems that I ran out of options now.

    Is there another workaround?

Something I can do to actually use my new controller on my PC?

    Thank you.

    :)

i cant connect the xbox bluetooth controller to the pc (windows 10)

Hello welcome to the forum! You can try this:

    Bluetooth

Xbox One Wireless Controllers may support connecting to your PC via Bluetooth. Your controller has this feature if it looks like the one on bottom in this illustration:

On Bluetooth-supported controllers, the plastic around the Xbox button is part of the face of the controller. On controllers without Bluetooth, the plastic around the Xbox button is part of the top, where the
    bumpers are.

    Notes

    • Bluetooth requires a PC running the Windows 10 Anniversary Update. See Windows Update: FAQ to learn how to get the latest Windows update.
    • For best performance, update your controller. See How to update your Xbox One Controller on Windows 10.
    • Bluetooth is supported on PCs, tablets, and laptops. It is not supported on mobile devices.
    • Bluetooth does not support any attachments, such as headsets, chatpads, or the Xbox Stereo Adapter.
    • We recommend connecting only one controller at a time using Bluetooth.
Follow these steps to pair your controller to your PC using Bluetooth:

    1. Make sure you have updated your PC to the Windows 10 Anniversary Update. See Windows Update: FAQ to learn how to get the latest Windows update.
    2. For best performance, update your controller. See How to update your Xbox One Controller on Windows 10.
    3. Turn on your Xbox Wireless Controller by pressing the Xbox button.
    4. Press the controller Connect button for three seconds and release.
    5. On your PC, select Start, then Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
    6. Turn on Bluetooth so your PC can discover Bluetooth devices.
      1. Select Xbox Wireless Controller > Pair.

For help with Bluetooth, see Connect and troubleshoot Bluetooth on your Xbox One Wireless Controller.

Is there a software update for the wireless controller?

When you update your controller with the latest software, you get important controller improvements, just as there are updates to your PC, mobile devices, games, etc.

You cannot update your controller or customize via Bluetooth, only with an Xbox Wireless Adapter or with the USB cable.

You may want to check if your drivers or PC is up to date. Not sure how it works with Ubuntu, as Xbox Accessories is only available on Windows 10 & 11.

Perhaps if you have another laptop or PC running windows you can update your controller from there, then use it again on your main PC.
