PC minecraft account unable to access multiplayer servers.

I started playing minecraft after about 6 years and completed the extensive migration and downloaded mods and packs again then tried to join a minecraft server and was unable to connect to it. I've done all the privacy and safety rules on account.xbox.com and I am still unable to play online servers. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have any firewall or anti-virus on your computer? And are you using any proxy or VPN?

I have webroot anti virus and no I do not use a VPN or proxy. I've been using lunar client now so I can only play 2 servers now.

If it is really the issue here, we can only add an exception for the Minecraft client. It will still be on and protect your computer.

I will give it a shot but doesn't that mean I have to keep that firewall or anti virus program off? I have bad luck with viruses in the past.

Hello Lucas, I try typing in a server address from youtubers I watch and I get the error message "java.net.connectexception: Connection timed out : no further information". Servers I try connecting to are hypixel.
