    Would anyone happen to know if we can use any pc mic with the chat adapter? I have a zalman zm-mic1 that doesn't appear to work at all so I thought I'd ask the community here. I'm running audio through a tb DSS via optical to some hd558's for surround
    sound and was hoping to use a PC mic. Thanks!

    Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter + Apple EarPods (Mic)

    Got stereo adapter today. Gutted!
    Apple EarPods with built in Mic do not work regarding voice. No one in party can hear me however game & party chat voice I can hear.

    Looks like I need a ctia to omtp adapter. Anybody got any that they don't require?

    Might as well just buy a new pair of earphones with mic (not mobile version)

    Anybody know any 3.5mm earphones with built in mic that's compatible with Stereo Adapter?

    Chat through a HI-FI headphone??

    I doubt getting an answer for my hi-fi headphone - attachable mic - microsoft adapter problem as posted above. It probably would not work anyway. Maybe a compromise solution could be: PC headset with two 3.5mm jacks (audio + mic). The audio jack to the DAC,
    mic jack to the adapter.

    This might be the only way to get chat audio to the headset while maintaining superior game audio from the DAC. Check out the forthcoming Audio Technica ATH ADG1 PC headset.

    @Skitals, that's wrong. Pressing the game button, then pressing the volume up and down buttons will only change the game audio. Pressing the chat button, then pressing the volume up and down buttons will only move the chat audio. Default when plugging
    the adapter in is game audio. @x1Hx Sounds like there might be a problem with the XO-7's mic being recognized by the adapter. My beats were doing the same thing until I got a mic that was compatible. Also make sure your security preferences under settings
    is set to Everyone under in game chat and not just Friends.

    I believe that when you are streaming to PC, all chat also routes through the PC. If you have the 500X's, you'll need to plug them into your PC with the mobile cable and a splitter if you have separate mic and audio jacks on your PC. Unless you are using
    a controller wired to your PC (or with the windows 10 wireless adapter) in which case you should be able to connect the mobile cable into that controller, either through the 3.5mm jack if the controller has one or through the Stereo chat adapter.

    Can you explain what wiring is needed to use game chat/ party chat with this headset. Ive contacted the manufacturer and they said to contact you.

    Are you able to try the headset on another device to see if it works (PC for example)?

    Are you using the chat adapter to connect to the console?

    Does the headset have a manual mute button?
    No i havent tried that yet thats a great idea! Im not to sure what the chat adapter is though. And no there is no mute button. I have to flip the mic up and down to mute. Im gonna try connecting it to my pc now.
