PC Headset ( Microphone) not working while playing in xbox app

I'm having the exact same issue. I have the logitech G930s too. While using the xbox app for just party use you won't be able to hear others and they can't hear you. The headset works correctly with game sounds while streaming to xbox one back to PC but
still won't work in the parties. The issue is that the headset will just not work at all with any type of xbox party function... While streaming xbox one to PC or while just using the party system in the xbox application for windows 10. (Microphone and earphones
will not work in party chat as said... while the ability to create, leave, and join the party actually work.)

Another issue I'm running into with the headset adapter + windows 10 streaming:

I docked my surface pro 2 into the docking station, which has a wired PC microphone plugged in. When I start playing (Rainbow Six Siege), the game audio is coming through my headset adapter (via the Xbos Stereo Headset), but the Windows 10 Xbox app is utilizing
my wired PC microphone instead of the Stereo Headset/Headset Adapter. I can't figure out a way to force the streaming app to use the microphone plugged into my controller...

(not sure if I should document this issue in another thread)

It seems there may be some minor issues between the Windows 10 Xbox streaming application when used with the Xbox Headset Adapter.

The Xbox One does not support USB Microphones. You could just use a headset for talking while streaming your games or stream using your PC, and use a USB microphone on there instead.

Based on your description, the headset did not work after left being idle. To have a better understanding, we would like to further isolate your concern.

1. You are on PC, right? Aside from Rust, may we ask other games you encounter same issue with?
   
2. Did unplugging the headset work? Is your headset connected to PC using USB connector or 3.5 mm headphone jack adapter?
   
3. May we ask if you can try to use the microphone in recording your voice through the Voice Recorder app of your PC?
   
4. Can you please try to use other headset and see if issue persist? Also, can you record a voice on Voice Recorder app of your PC using different headset?
   
5. May we confirm if your headset will work when connected to other device (PC or mobile)? Will you be able to use the microphone by recording your voice using your device's audio recording app?

That generic support doesn't really apply here. The problem is with a PC microphone, not an Xbox One microphone. The Xbox App on PC detects the mic and it works if I start a party via the app, but it doesn't work in any capacity on the Xbox One for parties
or game chat.
