  1. PC Gaming - Xbox One Wireless Controller left and right trigger Z axis/rotation mapping

Just bought a new Xbox One wireless controller hoping to play steam games from the couch. Unfortunately the new controller has moved the left and right triggers to their own inputs which breaks a lot of games that have no support for custom mapping or are
aware of a controller from Microsoft using a different mapping scheme. The older Xbox 360 controller has a negative and positive Z axis for the left and right triggers.

After a bit of scouring I came across a few articles saying to downgrade drivers; though this only worked for wired versions of the controller leaving me in the same position I was in earlier.

Anyone in this community have a custom driver solution or workaround?

Xbox One Controller Wireless Adapter Z axis and rotation at 0%

    Hey there,

I have a little problem. Recently, my Xbox One controller which I use for playing PC games started having problems. When I try to play games, lots of malfunctions happen. "Dragon Age: Inquisition" crashes at startup and corrupts my latest savefile, and "Ori
and the Blind Forest" makes my character walk to the left forever, as if my left stick were stuck (and it's not). The source of the problem lies in the controllers Z axis: there used to be just one, but it was split into a Z axis and Z rotation in some driver
update. When I look up the controller properties on my PC, both the axis and rotation start at 0% and rise to 100% when I press the shoulder trigger buttons. This causes detection problems in games that are programmed to recognize one Z axis sitting at 50%
and going to 0 and 100% when pressing the left and right triggers respectively.

I actually can solve this problem by following these steps:

    1.) Open Device Manager

2.) Right Click "Xbox One Controller"

    3.) Select Update Driver Software

    4.) Browse

    5.) Let me pick

    6.) "Microsoft Xbox One controller"

This 'merges' the Z axis and Z rotation back into one. However, now comes the real problem: I recently bought a Wireless Adapter to connect my controller to my Windows 10 PC wirelessly, and I
can't change the driver of the adapter. The adapter displays the same problems revolving the Z split (once again an axis and a rotation).

I tried contacting Live Chat Support for Xbox, who sent me to Live Chat for Microsoft, who after two hours sent me back again to Live Chat Support for Xbox. Sigh. The guy at Xbox Live Chat then sent me to the Microsoft Community Support, after which someone
over there sent me here, to the Xbox forums. So, I really, really, really hope someone here would be able to help me! I would truly appreciate it.

  3. Xbox Wireless Controller doesn't work while is connected via bluetooth to pc.

Hello my Xbox Wireless Controller connects to pc via bluetooth but it doesn't work. For few weeks it worked, in "joy.cpl" it was called "bluetooth XINPUT compatible input device" and in properties it had Z axis and X, Y rotation. Now it has changed randomly
and it's called "Xbox Bluetooth Gamepad" and in properties it has only Z axis which is split on Z axis and Z rotation. It doesn't work in any game anymore. I tried installing new bluetooth drivers and i've updated controller via "xbox accesories", but nothing
    has changed.

Xbox wireless adapter for Windows - only one Xbox One Wireless Controller works

I have a similar problem, when I connect my controllers trough the wireless adapter they are not working correctly because I have a Z axis and Z Rotation. WHen I used my controller wired with a USB cable I had this problem and I could fix roll back the drivers
and the controller went back to the original X, Y, Z Axis, but now, with the Wireless adapter, I can't do that, because I doesn't let me update, because there's no Xbox Periphals to change the driver.

How Do You Flip the X axis on a USB controller plugged into the Adaptive controller

If you said all I could do is swap the left x axis with the right x-axis that doesn't no good except switching hands.

I need the ability to invert the x-axis so that right becomes left and left becomes right for both the camera controls for Super Mario 64 like camera control and for making a right-handed fight stick left handed by rotating the physical fight stick 180 degrees, and flipping the left x axis and flipping the left y axis for both of those purposes.

You could remap the left x axis to the right x-axis but you can't flip either axis there's a big difference between remapping axes and flipping axes

Neither your application app for the standard controller nor the Adaptive controller will let you flip the axes. You could flip the y-axis for like flight games but you never thought of flipping the x-axis for Super Mario 64 and for right-handing a fight stick.

I know if the digital inputs are used you could simply map up to be down down to be up as well as right to be left and left to be right on the d-pad and you got a perfectly inverted joystick but some games like ones that use digital movement can't do that easily.

Xbox One controller on PC - triggers don't work

Do the triggers work when you test them in Windows?

In Windows 8.1 search for your controllers by typing in USB in the search box. Select 'Set up USB Game Controllers'. In the next window, click on the 'Properties' button. Pressing the triggers should show the Z Axis going up and down - depending on what trigger
is pressed. If the Z Axis does not move, there is something wrong with your controller.

Whether the triggers will work in your game, depends on whether the game you are playing supports the triggers or not. Games that support the Xbox 360 and Xbox One controller natively will support the triggers, other games may not.

Why is Invert Y axis an option and Invert X axis not?

Actually it is on the system level. The downloading app on Xbox called the Xbox accessories app. It works for both regular controllers and adaptive controllers.

That is like the almost perfect app for dealing with controllers.

You convert the left stick Y Axis, you can invert the right stick y axis.

You could swap the left stick and the right stick functions but you can't invert either x-axis.

Also the buttons have a funny issue that the triggers can only be swapped with each other and all the other made buttons could be swapped with each other but you can't mix triggers and non triggers.

I don't know if you do that that was a way that Xbox universally deals with controllers.
