PC Games will not start that once ran fine via Game Pass Ultimate.

So, installed Game Pass Ultimate and had a few games working: Minecraft Dungeons, Mech Warrrior 5, City Skylines, Astroneer. Then I installed No Man's Sky and everything except Astroneer and Skylines stopped working. Little purple window said "Can't Open
App. See Microsoft store for details."

Updated everything. Restarted multiple times. Updated and reset apps individually in settings. Nothing. Finally ended up uninstalling all the offending games and reinstalling. So far NMS is working as is Minecraft Dungeons.

I am an eSports coach and have multiple identical systems. Ran into same problem on another computer, but Rage 2 seems to be the offender there.

What gives? I have not been able to get anything other than Astroneer to run on the other machine. Rage 2 has been installed twice and will still not run. It is not the machine. I am running LOL, Fortnite, RL, Overwatch just fine. This is an Game Pass
specific issue.

Ideas?

After your Game Pass Ultimate expires you either have to buy the individual games or another Game Pass Ultimate subscription

If I already check for updates and their problem is not fixed, you have to wait for one to be released since sometimes it is a Microsoft problem

So there seems to be quite a few people having this issue and most seem to be with NMS, there does not seem to be a fix yet that

I have found some say its a firewall issue and others just remove and install again and for you it seems to be another game causing the issue.

It may be a good option to contact support direct https://support.xbox.com/contact-us they might have a fix that has not been found online yet.

Just out of curiosity do you also get this error 0x8007001F? I have been trying to find what it means to try help others but it looks to be a new one

Would this also hold true for PC version of Game Pass Ultimate? My son already had the Gold Pass on his console. I had just purchased him a Gaming PC and Best Buy suggested the Game Pass Ultimate. I ran into the current problem while trying to install on the PC.

If you have bought Game Pass Ultimate, then it includes Games Pass for Xbox, Game Pass for PC, EA Play for Xbox, Cloud Gaming on android & Xbox Live Gold. So yes, you can use it on your PC.

It's simple to use, download the Xbox app on your PC, log in with the account that has Game Pass Ultimate, and then download a game from the app, once downloaded, start the game.
