    PC games start lagging all of a sudden after a few minutes into the game


    Hi,

    Below are my laptop Asus ROG Strix GL503GE's specifications:

    Intel Core i7-8750H

    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB GDDR5

    16GB of DDR4 RAM

    512GB SSD

    1TB HDD

    I will always install my games on the HDD. All of them were working fine before but suddenly from today it started lagging so bad that I cannot play it. This happened after a few minutes into the game. Even low hardware demanding games were lagging so bad.

    So, could someone please guide or help me on eliminating this issue?

    Are you playing off the battery or connected to the mains? Sounds to me like they're running off the iGPU instead of the dedicated graphics processor.

    I will always play the game when plugged in. Also, I've set all the gaming applications as run with "High performance Nvidia processor" in the Nvidia control panel. Also, I observed that my CPU usage while gaming is just below 5% at all times whereas the GPU is operating at 80-90%.

    Same thing on PES 13. 3 times yesterday I was winning against people with much better teams than me (master league). With a few minutes left all of a sudden the game starts lagging and a few seconds later the match is abandoned as the connection has worsened.
    No one gets a win or loss and no money is given.

    They must use some sort of lag switch to make the game unplayable to the server just cancels the match. Absolute losers and it seems mostly Spanish and French people do it.

    I got a wireless controller adapter and a xbox one controller for my pc. Everything works just fine for the first 30 minuites then all of a sudden whatever game it starts lagging. On some games it even freezes. If i put my batteries out and back
    in the controller it the lag disapears. What can I do to solve this issue?

    So I had the same thing happen after downloading Undertale on my PC. The exact image and quote. So I jumped online to see what the answer was, I found this thread. While reading it, I didnt touch my pc for about 5 minutes. Then all of the sudden the game
    started. I think that it might just be a wait game. I did have my pc in airplane mode. Still if it took 5 mins for a 178 MB game to start, I bet that a 10 gig plus game would take longer. Hopefully this helps.
