    PC Gamepass app will no longer open or install


    A couple days ago my Gamepass app on my PC stopped loading. It no longer loaded on startup, and when I went to start it myself it would just open the black box with xbox logo load screen indefinitely. Restarting the PC and resetting the app didn't make a difference. I tried uninstalling it to download and reinstall it from scratch, but I can't even do that. During the initial install ("Making things awesome", "Pruning the dialogue trees" etc) it would get partway done and then just shut off, no error, just suddenly closed.

    Lois, let me see if I understand. You're subscribed to Gamepass, right?

    When you open the Xbox app on your PC, no games are showed there? What exactly the app showed you when you open it?

    Also, you said you installed, 11 of them, you cannot see them installed on your PC?

    Also, you said you installed, 11 of them, you cannot see them installed on your PC?
    They installed Windows 11, not "installed 11" games.

    Cannot download gaming services simply because the "download button" does not even appear

    Try this then, since they're installed, you will uninstall it via powershell and then open the Xbox app and it will ask you to install it again automatically within the app, ok?

    In the windows search bar type Powershell > Right click and select open as administrator > Type the command: "get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-Appxpackage –allusers" > Wait for the process to finish and then restart the PC, then open your Xbox gamepass app, it will ask you to install the gaming services again, install it and try again.

    Hello again: If it still doesn't work, you're going to uninstall the game services using a powershell command, then open the gamepass app, ask you to download and install the game services again:

    On the Windows search bar, type Powershell > right-click and select Open as administrator > Type the command: "get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-Appxpackage –allusers" > Wait for the process to finish and then restart the PC, then open your Xbox gamepass app, ask you to reinstall the game services, install it, and try again.

    If none of those procedures work, try to restore your PC's operating system via iso image tool, using that tool you will be able to keep your games and files installed
