    PC game compatibility


    Hi,

    I've bought Fifa 23 in a phisical store, and installed it on my pc with the EA app.

    I have my EA app (not EA Play) linked with my XBOX Live account.

    Can i play the Fifa 23 that i bought on my future XBOX Serie S or i must buy the game again?

    yes my PC is up to date as well, my PC is compatible because I was playing the game before they removed cross play compatibility.

    If you log into your account on the microsoft store on a PC and then type the desired game into the searchbar, the default filter will be PC, so if the game appears, it’s compatible, but if it doesn’t, it is not.

    Only select games are both Xbox and PC compatible, but some have a ‘Windows alternative’, for an additional price.

    If you go to your library settings on the microsoft store you can view your games, once on your games page you can sort the games that are compatible with PC. It might not be a compatible PC download.

    That wouldn't be backwards compatibility, that would be emulation.

    I play games from the 8-bit up to the PS3 on my PC, but it's not backwards compatible.
