PC Game blocked

It depends on the anti-virus program in question as different programs have differing processes. Within the program itself there should be a Help section which details the process.

Game was purchased and dowmnloaded from iwin, not a MS game. Played with no problem once, then could not be launched again. Have tried reinstalling. iwin app is on allowed list. Removing controlled folder does not help. I really need to know how to remove game from quarantine.

In situations like these, it can help to perform a clean boot to identify and pinpoint the exact reason, resolving any issues. It seems you just need to find the relevant system file(s) though.

Which Windows version and OS Build are you currently on? Is everything updated? Press the Windows key + R, type winver in the Open box, then select OK, or go to Settings > System > About for more detailed info with your PC specs.

As Nursemorph mentioned above, different programs can all have various methods to achieve the same result, with different system files. Please specify exactly which anti-virus program you have so we can point you in the right direction. For example, some well known third party anti virus software: AVG, Avast, Avira, Bitdefender, Kaspersky, McAfee, Norton, Malwarebytes, Symantec, etc..

Also, just as general advice, you honestly don’t need anything more than Windows Defender (also known as Microsoft Defender and is part of Windows Security), so I’d recommend against any paid software (especially as it can be quite expensive).

Because Defender is a built-in integral part of Windows and is so securely embedded into the system, it’s virtually impossible to completely disable (just in case you were planning on trying this as a workaround).

If this issue persists or you encounter further errors, you’ll need to contact support directly. Contact iWin Support again and explain exactly what you’re trying to do (they should be able to assist with all this) - submit a request with as much info as possible and they’ll reply by email after a few days. If you have any installed software (even ad blockers and registry cleaners) that’s affecting access to your game, it would be best to ask their support too.

Although you’re experiencing this issue on a Windows PC, it’s regarding a product/service not from Microsoft/Xbox so keep in mind support would be limited from this team here.

iwin says it's my problem--no help from their end. Since MS games bounced me to iwin for this game, iwin seems to be its only provider. Programs on my end are all Microsoft/Windows. Waiting for help with unblocking.
